On 2 Nov 07 Jodie L. Grimes, age 26, 600 ½ Second Street, New Matamoras, reported she was away from her residence for forty minutes that afternoon and during the time span an unknown suspect(s) entered her home and stole a 19” television, her wallet, cash, credit cards, a DVD, a Playstation 2 and her and her son’s medications. This case remains under investigation (953).

On 2 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons investigated a two vehicle collision in the parking lot of the Pit Stop at 3355 State Route 821, Marietta. Joan J. Neighbors, age 67, 1520 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple, just pulled into the parking lot in her 2004 Ford when John K. Guiler, age 47, 118 Olin Drive, Woodsfield, backed his 1996 Chevy truck into Ms. Neighbors’ driver’s side door. Both vehicles sustained light damage; neither party reported injuries.

On 2 Nov 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris requested a summons for a sixteen year old New Matamoras resident to appear in Juvenile Court for delinquency by domestic violence. The juvenile’s fourteen year old brother stated he was arguing with his brother while the two were waiting for the bus and when he told his brother to be quiet his brother head butted him in the nose. Saying “he took as much as he could and just snapped,” the sixteen year old admitted injuring his brother.

On 2 Nov 07 Mary E. McKitrick, age 29, 122 Ingleside Avenue, Marietta, reported a friend gave her permission to leave a bag of her belongings at his house on 20 Oct and when she returned to her friend’s home to retrieve her property her friend said he donated the items to Goodwill. This case remains under investigation (200).

Rebecca Lynn Cooper, age 28, 1208 County House Lane Apt. B, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of assault. Cooper was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 9:15 am.

Sherri Ann Lawell, age 18, 241 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Lawell was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 10:10 am.

Minnie Lee Lilley, age 70, 241 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Lilley was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Hilverding of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 10:10 am.

George Edward Thomas III, 241 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Thomas was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 10:10 am.

Gideon Rhodes Beatty, age 25, 1219 Sumac Street, McKeesport, PA, for preparation of drugs for sale, a felony. Beatty was picked up at the North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 1:00 pm.

John Eugene Anderson, age 27, Marietta, for failure to register a change of address as a registered sex offender, a felony. Anderson was picked up at the Corrections Reception Center by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 3:30 pm.

Kelly Jane Farnsworth, age 19, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 4:00 pm.

Shawn Gale Thomas, age 38, 416 Mulberry Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Thomas was arrested on Third Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hanson of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 5:30 pm.

Timothy Wade Cline, age 42, 24689 State Route 26, New Matamoras, for OVI, possession of drug paraphernalia, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for not using his headlights. Cline was arrested in New Matamoras by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Nov 07 at 8:15 pm.
