On 30 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr responded
to a residence on Dye Street in Newport after a female reported
finding her neighbor in bed with a handful of pills. The Newport
Volunteer Fire Department transported the thirty-six year old
female to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
On 30 Oct 07 the president of Iddings Trucking,
741 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, reported his employees are unable
to locate a tank trailer and are unsure if the trailer was
stolen during the past month or is simply missing. This case
remains under investigation (515).
On 30 Oct 07 Deputies began an investigation
into the theft of property in the vicinity of Oak Grove Lane
and Waterford Road in Oak Grove. The theft of items involved
property taken from several vehicles as well as from unsecured
garages in the area. Stolen property includes loose change
and currency, a Dewalt power tool set, a digital camera, a
briefcase and credit cards.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Teresita Paguirig Dejosef, age 67, 501 Lawton
Road, Marietta, for hit-skip and for improper backing, both
misdemeanors. Dejosef was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy
Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 30 Oct 07 at 12:43 am.
Aaron Dale Douthitt, age 25, 1805 Wynncrest
Drive, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, failure
to appear and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors.
Douthitt was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Oct 07 at 6:37 pm.
Whitney Lynne Pope, age 20, Marietta, for theft, a felony.
Pope was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief Bourne of the New
Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Oct 07 at 7:59 pm.
Alexis Dawn Wood, age 18, 101 Sherry Drive, Marietta, for
unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Wood was
picked up in Columbus by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 30 Oct 07 at 8:54 pm.
