On 26 Oct 07 Sgt. Stackpole issued a citation
to Brian A. Dye, age 29, 749 Glendale Road, Marietta, for failure
to reinstate his operator’s license. Sgt. Stackpole stopped
Mr. Dye near milepost eleven on Interstate 77 in Salem Township.
On 26 Oct 07 Chris Riggs, age 33, 2765 Burnett
Road, Cutler, reported he is watching his neighbor’s
property at 2765 Burnett Road while his neighbor is out of
town and that sometime since he was last at the property a
month ago a riding lawnmower and weed eater were stolen from
a storage building. This case remains under investigation (790).
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to Aaron J. Sarver, age 21, 15976 State Route 550,
Fleming, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Mankins
stopped Mr. Sarver on Washington Boulevard in Belpre.
On 26 Oct 07 Debra S. Rauch, age 49, 922 Olloch
Hill Road, Lowell, reported between midnight and 8 am that
morning an unknown suspect(s) entered her unlocked vehicle
and stole her Longaberger basket purse and the contents within
it. This case remains under investigation (200).
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Ryan S. Cox, age 19, 451 Orlando Avenue, Akron,
for traveling 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Smeeks stopped
Mr. Cox near milepost seven on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township.
On 26 Oct 07 David R. Sampson, age 52, 1375
Klinger Road, Waterford, reported a Craftsman toolbox and tools
were stolen from his garage overnight. This case remains under
investigation (200).
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Allison J. English, age 18, 46184 County Road
207, Coshocton, for traveling 93 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy
Staats stopped Ms. English near milepost five on Interstate
77 in Muskingum Township.
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Matthew R. Vekasy, age 38, 1448 Westwood Avenue,
Columbus, for traveling 86 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy Staats
stopped Mr. Vekasy near milepost twelve on Interstate 77 in
Salem Township.
On 26 Oct 07 a sixty year old Little Hocking
resident reported on separate occasions in May and June an
unknown individual attempted to charge $1,500 to his credit
card. The victim suffered no monetary loss, as his credit card
company initiated fraud protection on the transactions. This
case remains under investigation (8411).
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Randall L. Wright, age 54, 1807 Dogwood Ridge Road Apt. D,
Wheelersburg, for driving under a suspended license and for
possession of a Schedule IV narcotic. Also issuing Mr. Wright
a citation for driving at night with only one operational headlight,
Deputy Mankins discovered a Darvocet pill on the floorboard
of Mr. Wright’s vehicle.
On 26 Oct 07 the owner of Belpre Sand and
Gravel, 320 Cemetery Road, Little Hocking, reported during
the night an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the business
and stole two portable radios, forty candy bars, an envelope
containing nine employee paychecks and a cash box containing
over $200. This case remains under investigation (1001).
On 26 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued
citations to Clyde L. Rutter, age 39, 21 West Third Street,
The Plains, for driving under a suspended license and for being
in possession of an open container of alcohol. Stopped on US
50 near State Route 339 for not having a front license plate,
Mr. Rutter admitted purchasing the can of Busch Light and drinking
it on his way home from work.

Jessica Lynn Fugate, age 21, 1305 Blennerhassett
Avenue, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Fugate was arrested at Kroger
in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07
at 1:32 am.
Kenneth Paul Seebaugh, age 37, 4905 Camden
Avenue, Parkersburg, for passing bad checks, a felony. Seebaugh
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Oct 07 at 12:00 pm.
Harvey Antonio Smith, age 22, 107 Miller Avenue, Akron, for
driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors.
Smith was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Staats
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07
at 12:05 pm.
Shawn Norman Bonar, age 31, 134 Whipkey Drive, Waterford,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Bonar was arrested at his residence by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Oct 07 at 12:10 pm.
Wendell Eugene Beckett, age 30, 111145 Wolf Station Road,
New Comerstown, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Beckett
was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Oct 07 at 12:30 pm.
Joshua Eric Bonar, age 19, Marietta, for failure to appear
and for menacing, both misdemeanors. Bonar was arrested in
Marietta by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07
at 1:20 pm.
Randall Lee Wright, age 54, 1807 Dogwood Ridge, Wheelersburg,
OH, for driving under an OVI suspended license, for having
a faulty headlight and for possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.
Wright was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07
at 9:29 pm.
Clinton Wesley Sanders, age 41, 41600 State Route 692, Albany,
OH, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for having
fictitious plates, both misdemeanors. Sanders was arrested
on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07 at 10:21 pm.
Brent Allen Reynolds, age 36, 8780 State Route 26, Marietta,
for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Reynolds
was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 07 at 10:45 pm.
