On 15 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to George McAtee Jr., age 32, 225 ½ Sheldon
Avenue, Marietta, for operating a vehicle with tags that expired
in January 2007. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. McAtee at the intersection
of Colegate and Greene Streets in Pioneer Township.
On 15 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Malone began an
investigation into a possible assault involving students at
Putnam Elementary School. Details are unclear at this point
but the victim, a nine year old Marietta boy, was transported
to the hospital after somehow falling out of his wheelchair.
On 15 Oct 07 Dennis O. Cook, age 59, 742 Highland
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported his bank contacted him and stated
an unknown individual attempted to cash a check drawn on his
account for $2,475. Upon further investigation Mr. Cook determined
forty-four blank checks were stolen from his office, which
is located across the street from his home. This case remains
under investigation (953).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Mayford Miller, age 49, 403 Blennerhassett
Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation by
failing to show proof of completing eight hours of community
service.
Denise A. Schrader, age 20, 2805 Millers Lane, Reno, for violating
the terms of her probation by failing to show proof of completing
twenty-four of community service or to show proof of making
restitution.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jerry Jermaine McKenzie, age 28, 16500 Park
Drive Apt. 1815, Southfield, MI, for operating a vehicle without
a license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. McKenzie was
arrested near milepost eleven on Interstate 77 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Oct 07 at 8:00 am.
Brent Michael Radabaugh, age 29, 111 Colonial
Square, Belpre, for two counts of receiving stolen property
and two counts of forgery, all felonies. Radabaugh was picked
up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff
O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 15 Oct 07 at 11:30 am.
