On 12 Oct 07 Jill Leggett, age 50, 1057 Welch
Road, Cutler, reported sometime since she last saw it on 7
Oct, her Samsung digital camera was stolen from her vehicle.
This case remains under investigation (586).
On 12 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons arrested
a sixteen year old Newport resident for violating the terms
of his probation and requested a summons for the teenager to
appear in Juvenile Court for delinquency by inducing panic.
During an incident that transpired at Newport Elementary School
that afternoon the juvenile became upset after nearly getting
into a fight, ran from a classroom and allegedly remarked he
was going to his locker to get his gun.
On 12 Oct 07 Donald Sparling, age 79, 4525
Sparling Road, Waterford, reported an unknown suspect(s) broke
a window to enter a tenant’s residence on their property
and stole a portable stereo and over $1,000 in cash. This case
remains under investigation (790).
On 12 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested
a summons for Christopher M. Chevalier, age 19, 1500 Braun
Road, Belpre, for assault. Deputy Carr’s affidavit details
an incident on a school bus on 9 Oct during which Chevalier
struck a thirteen year old Belpre resident with an open hand
reportedly “to teach him a lesson.” The juvenile’s
parents also stated Chevalier constantly picks on their son
and in the past has punched him in the stomach.
On 12 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 2610 Indian Run Road,
Marietta. The victim, Rachella Walker, age 30, stated she was
assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Martin Z. Adams, age 30,
after she asked him to move out of their home. Mr. Adams pushed
Ms. Walker, broke the chair in which she was sitting and jumped
on her as she fell onto their porch. During the incident with
Mr. Adams, who had a blood alcohol content of .212, Ms. Walker
suffered through several blows to her head and sustained a
bloody lip. Due to Mr. Adams’ actions, Deputy Carr arrested
him for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Martin Zane Adams, age 30, 2610 Indian Run
Road, Marietta, for domestic violence and for violating the
terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. Adams was arrested
at his residence by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Oct 07 at 7:57 pm.
Richard Thomas Usko, age 21, 33992 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras,
for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Usko
was arrested near milepost seven on State Route 7 by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Oct 07 at 9:10 pm.
Pamela Yvette Ball, age 45, 228 Pike Street Apt. 6, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Ball
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hickey of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Oct 07 at 9:52 pm.
