On 10 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons issued a citation to Richard E. Smith, age 40, 204 Brittigan Circle, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. In a related incident, Deputy Simmons also requested a summons for Mr. Smith for disorderly conduct. Deputy Simmons’ affidavit alleges Mr. Smith drove around the Devola area cursing at and scaring eleven and fourteen year old boys with whom his son does not get along.

On 10 Oct 07 Lt. Huffer issued a citation to Eli C. Clark, age 20, PO Box 401, Beverly, for pulling a trailer without taillights and without a license plate. Lt. Huffer stopped Mr. Clark on State Route 7 near Blue Knob Road in Warren Township.

On 10 Oct 07 Brenda L. Siley, 1665 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported between 6:30 and 8:30 that morning an unknown suspect(s) damaged the windshield on the passenger side of her son’s vehicle. This case remains under investigation (1183).

On 10 Oct 07 Larry K. Bargeloh, age 42, 290 Mount Tom Pines Road, Marietta, reported over the past month an unidentified person obtained his ATM card number and accrued over $1,200 in charges in an overseas location. This case remains under investigation (8411).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Janet Lynn Jones, age 33, 349 Blaze Run, Walker, WV, for theft, a misdemeanor. Jones was arrested at Wal-Mart in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 12:10 am.

Serena Charlene Lindsey, age 31, 413 Market Street, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Lindsey was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 8:30 am.

Scott Alex Huxley, age 24, 1421 Lancaster Street Apt. 101G, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Huxley was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 10:00 am.

Jeffrey Shane Wittekind, age 19, 316 Gilman Avenue, Marietta, for two felony counts of breaking and entering and for a misdemeanor charge of theft. Wittekind was arrested at his residence by Detective Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 12:10 pm.

Michael Douglas McKinney, age 57, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for violating the terms of his probation, both misdemeanors. McKinney was picked up at the Ross County jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 1:50 pm.

Thomas William Gaughan, age 21, 790 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for felony charges off theft and breaking and entering and misdemeanor charges of theft and misuse of a credit card. Gaughan was arrested at the Washington County Career Center by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 2:30 pm.

Jon Charles Preston, age 46, 836 Pike Street Apt. 17, Marietta, for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony. Preston was picked up at the Delaware County jail by Patrolman Davis of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 3:15 pm.

John David Ragalyi, age 21, 616 ½ Masonic Park Road, Marietta, for breaking and entering, a felony. Ragalyi was arrested at Speedway on Seventh Street in Marietta by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 4:00 pm.

Jeffrey Allen Friesner, age 33, 352 Witte Street, Lancaster, for felony charges of failure to appear and nonsupport of dependants and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear and driving under a suspended license. Friesner was arrested on State Route 7 in Little Hocking by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 4:25 pm.

Jeffrey Joseph Brown, age 25, 915 Front Street, arietta, a fugitive from justice, a felony. Brown was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 4:45 pm.

Nathan David Goddard, age 19, 110 Howard Street, Marietta, for assault, a misdemeanor. Goddard was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 5:00 pm.

Lucas Alan Heiss, age 27, 267 Culver Run Road, Waterford, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Heiss was picked up in New Mexico by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Oct 07 at 9:00 pm.
