On 8 Oct 07 William E. Dornick, 801 Springston
Road, Vincent, reported he parked his Dodge Ram in his driveway
and turned off the ignition but neglected to place the truck
in park. As a result, the truck rolled down a slight incline
and over a short embankment, causing moderate functional damage
(500).
On 8 Oct 07 William Hesson, age 45, 16785
County Nine Road, New Matamoras, reported his roommate’s
boyfriend assaulted him that morning because he left the door
open when he let his dog outside. Before he was able to seek
treatment for his injuries, Mr. Hesson stated the suspect punched
him in the face and threw him down on two other occasions and
fled. This case remains under investigation (1001).
On 8 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Malone responded
to a report of a thirty-six year old Belpre resident who ingested
a large amount of hydrocodone pills in an attempt to commit
suicide. The Belpre Volunteer Fire Department transported the
victim to Camden Clark Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
On 8 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested
Joseph M. Baldwin, age 25, 16057 Fruit Farm Road, Amesville,
for OVI, failure to obey a traffic control device, possession
of drug paraphernalia and for using a weapon while intoxicated.
Deputy Staats observed Mr. Baldwin fail to stop at a stop at
a red light and as he approached the vehicle, saw several empty
cans of beer on the floorboard. Mr. Baldwin stated he had a
weapon in the vehicle and indicated its location. During the
search for the 9 mm handgun Deputy Rhodes also located a marijuana
pipe. Mr. Baldwin performed poorly on administered sobriety
tests and when transported to the Washington County Jail refused
a BAC test.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ronald Dean Myers, age 26, 105 ½ Barber Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Myers
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Oct 07 at 8:58
am.
Deborah Ann Cline, age 44, 106 Wood Street, Marietta, for
obstruction of justice, a misdemeanor. Cline was arrested at
her residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
8 Oct 07 at 8:25 pm.
