On 7 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio stopped a vehicle driven by Zachary D. Patterson, age 19, 70 Mitchell Drive, Newport, for having an inoperable license plate light. Smelling an odor of burnt marijuana in the vehicle, Deputy Travaglio performed a search and located an Altoids tin containing a burnt marijuana roach in the glove compartment. Consequently, Deputy Travaglio issued Mr. Patterson citations for an inoperable license plate light and possession of marijuana and requested a summons for him for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 7 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats requested a summons for Christina West, age 32, 55 Griffin Road, Lowell, for disorderly conduct by fighting. The affidavit requesting the summons alleges Ms. West was involved in an argument with her brother in law and poked him in the chest with her finger several times.

On 7 Oct 07 Carlton Theobald, age 75, 850 Jett Hill Road, Marietta, reported sometime of the last three months five cattle, four of which were cows and one a calf, were stolen from his property. This case remains under investigation (1001).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Dale Franklin McGrew, age 62, 9322 State Route 550, Vincent, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. McGrew was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 07 at 1:45 am.

Nathan Scott Tewkesbury, age 22, 800 Front Street, Marietta, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Tewkesbury was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 07 at 2:47 am.

Adam Hamilton Gordon, age 27, 140 ½ Fifth Avenue, Lancaster, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Gordon was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Oct 07 at 10:11 am.
