On 1 Oct 07 Detective Schuck arrested Martin
D. Gibbs, age 19, 110 Front Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for driving
without a license and for failure to obey a traffic control
device. During the stop at the intersection of Washington and
Seventh Street, Detective Schuck observed a can of Busch Light
in the possession of Mr. Gibbs’ passenger, Troy E. Lightfritz,
age 21, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta. Issued a citation for possessing
an open container of alcohol, Mr. Lightfritz was arrested for
a probation violation at the request of his probation officer.
On 1 Oct 07 Adam C. Ruble, age 22, 4000 State
Route 530, Lowell, reported the tire on his Jeep Wrangler was
punctured and flattened by his girlfriend’s estranged
husband, Daniel W. Camp, age 36, 969 Gerken Road, Whipple.
Mr. Ruble stated he was at his girlfriend’s residence
at 200 Walnut Street, Belpre, when Mr. Camp began banging on
the front door of the residence. Mr. Ruble said after they
denied Mr. Camp entry he walked away, at which time he heard
a loud pop and noticed his flat tire. As a result, Deputy Norman
requested a summons for Mr. Camp for criminal damaging.
On 1 Oct 07 Deputy Sheriff Norman requested
a warrant for Chad W. Williams, age 25, 517 Barclay Street,
Belpre, for intimidation of a witness and aggravated menacing.
The previous day Joshua Martini, age 18, 1270 Burnett Road,
Cutler, reported he and a friend were in his vehicle when Mr.
Williams approached and threatened them. Mr. Williams spit
in the face of Mr. Martini and stated when he got out of trouble
he would kill the family of Mr. Martini and his passenger,
whose sister is a witness against Williams in a domestic violence
case.
On 1 Oct 07 an employee of Pure Water Company,
309 North Street, Caldwell, reported sometime since 9 Sep a
water meter was stolen from the yard of the residence at 120
Back Road, Macksburg. This case remains under investigation
(953).
On 1 Oct 07 Lee Hadley, age 68, 700 Main Street,
New Matamoras, reported overnight an unknown suspect(s) forced
open the doors of his hunting trailer and storage shed located
at the intersection of Fifteenmile Creek and Goss Fork Road.
Mr. Hadley stated the suspect(s) rummaged through the two structures
but did not take anything. This case remains under investigation
(1001).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Martin Deane Gibbs Jr., age 20, 710 Front Street Apt. 4, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and for failure to obey
a traffic control device, both misdemeanors. Gibbs was arrested
near the intersection of Wooster and Seventh Streets in Marietta
by Lt. Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct 07 at
2:00 am.
Troy Eugene Lightfritz, age 21, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lightfritz
was arrested near the intersection of Wooster and Seventh Streets
in Marietta by Lt. Schuck of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Oct
07 at 2:00 am.
Drexil Richard Mowery, age 52, 1203 Sealy
Ridge Road, Vincent, for trafficking in drugs and for permitting
drug abuse, both felonies. Mowery was picked up in Massillon
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 1 Oct 07 at 3:50 pm.
Richard Eugene Hagar, age 43, Marietta, for obstructing official
business, resisting arrest and for criminal trespassing, all
misdemeanors. Hagar was arrested at Heartland in Marietta by
Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 1 Oct 07 at 4:13 pm.
