On 26 Sep 07 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to a seventeen year old Marietta resident for traveling 55
mph in a 35 mph zone. Lt. Wilson stopped the juvenile on Gilman
Avenue in Marietta.
On 26 Sep 07 the assistant manager of the
Barlow Par Mar, 8600 State Route 339, reported when he was
making a bank deposit he discovered a five dollar bill that
did not look or feel like a genuine bill. Lt. Huffer concurred
with the store manager’s conclusion and will conduct
a further investigation.
On 26 Sep 07 Lt. Canavan issued a citation
to David R. Washington, age 58, 22485 Brimstone Road, Coolville,
for operating a vehicle with tags that expired in July 2007.
Lt. Canavan stopped Mr. Washington on State Route 7 near Blue
Knob Road in Warren Township.
On 26 Sep 07 Robert O’Brien, age 53,
343 Main Street, Lower Salem, reported between 6:50 and 7:45
pm that evening an unknown suspect entered his home and stole
$1,500 in collectible coins, three rifles, a shotgun and a
handgun. This case remains under investigation (1299).
On 26 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued
a minor misdemeanor citation to Roger P. Loy Jr., age 35, 1004B
Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for disorderly conduct. Deputy
Reynolds issued the citation to Mr. Loy after investigating
a report that Mr. Loy was in front of a residence attempting
the resident to fight him.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Justin Daniel Deems, age 27, 18155 State Route
550, Marietta, for illegal conveyance of items into a detention
facility, a felony. Deems was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 10:40 am.
Joseph Wesley Winner, age 30, 344 Rachel’s Trail, St.
Peters, MO, for a felony charge of receiving stolen property
and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business.
Winner was arrested on Warren Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Wharton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 2:25 pm.
Walter Ricky Ayala, age 20, 25 Summers Road, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Ayala
was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Brockmeier and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 3:10
pm.
Leesa Ann Cain, age 48, Route 3 Box 97, Ripley, for theft,
a felony. Cain was arrested in Common Pleas Court by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 3:35 pm.
Alex Legrande Smith, age 28, 720 30th Street Apt. 4, Parkersburg,
for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, a misdemeanor.
Smith was arrested on Veto Road by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 4:30 pm.
Felix Agyei Ntow, age 22, 215 Fifth Street, Marietta, for
violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Ntow was
arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 07
at 5:00 pm.
David Kenneth Sowers Jr., age 27, 119 Warner Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Sowers was arrested at his residence
by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Sep 07
at 9:45 pm.
Gary Edward Antill, age 53, 555 Mount Tom Road, Marietta,
for aggravated burglary, a felony. Antill was arrested on Greene
Street in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 26 Sep 07 at 11:26 pm.
