On 24 Sep 07 Sgt. Brockmeier and Deputy Sheriff
Malone responded to a report from an intoxicated male who stated
he was hallucinating, had a gun and was having suicidal thoughts.
Speaking with a dispatcher, Roy L. Rex, age 53, 100 Hanover
Street, Cutler, said he had been smoking crack cocaine and
marijuana and drinking beer and wine. Mr. Rex further stated
there were worms coming out of his fingernails and blood draining
from his ears. Mr. Rex was cooperative when the Deputies arrived,
consenting to have his home searched and pointing to additional
crack cocaine in his freezer and the location of his firearms.
Mr. Rex was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment
and will be charged with using a weapon while intoxicated,
possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession
of drug paraphernalia.
On 24 Sep 07 an employee of River City Tire,
1415 Pike Street, Marietta, reported on 19 Jun and 19 Jul a
customer issued the business checks totaling $2,514 that were
later returned for non-sufficient funds. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
On 24 Sep 07 Danielle Long, age 18, 1813 Reese
Road, Fleming, reported she parked her Chevy S-10 at the Washington
County Career Center at 7:30 and when she returned to her vehicle
at 9 am she noticed her driver’s side door was scratched.
This case remains under investigation (1090).
On 24 Sep 07 a sixteen year old Waterford
High School student reported a male student threatened to drug
and sexually assault her for informing school authorities he
was in possession of marijuana. Interviewing the seventeen
year old suspect, Sgt. Underwood determined the victim misconstrued
a statement from the suspect and determined no threat of retaliation
occurred (597).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
William Richard Huffman, age 40, 3043 Redgate
Lane, Youngstown, for OVI, speeding, possession of drugs, possession
of drug paraphernalia and for not wearing a seat belt, all
misdemeanors. Huffman was arrested on Interstate 77 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Sep 07 at 1:30 am.
Thaddeus Alan Heiss, age 44, 295 Offenberger
Lane, Lowell, for resisting arrest and obstructing official
business, both misdemeanors. Heiss was arrested on State Route
339 by Chief Brockmeier of the Beverly Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Sep 07 at 7:14
pm.
Jason Scott Romine, age 35, 3901 Woodlay Avenue, Canton, for
a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation and
a misdemeanor charge of for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines. Romine was picked up in Stark County
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Sep 07 at 8:20 pm.
Bobby Lamar Thomas Jr., age 34, 3590 126th Street, Cleveland,
for trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies.
Thomas was picked up at the Cuyahoga County Jail by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 24 Sep 07 at 8:28 pm.
