On 23 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins arrested
Heidi Anne Huck, age 33, PO Box 1165, Marietta, for OVI and
passing on a double yellow line. Stopping Ms. Huck near Bramblewood
Heights after the traffic infraction he observed on State Route
550, Deputy Mankins noticed an odor of alcohol. When questioned,
Ms. Huck admitted drinking five beers in the past two hours.
Following her poor performance on field sobriety tests Ms.
Huck was transported to the Washington County Jail where she
refused a BAC test.
On 23 Sep 07 Charles E. King, age 45, 365
Rowland Road, Cutler, reported while he was away from his residence
overnight an unknown suspect cut a screen to enter his home
and stole four shotguns and one pellet gun. This case remains
under investigation (515).
On 23 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio was
dispatched to an assault involving victim Angela S. America,
age 20, 890 Luke Chute Road, Waterford, and assailant Jessica
L. Hill, age 19, 3271 State Route 676, Stockport. First attacked
when sitting in her car at the corner store in Beverly, Ms.
America stated Ms. Hill grabbed her hair and tried to pull
her through the car’s window. When Ms. America arrived
back at her residence and exited her car, Ms. Hill bounded
from behind bushes, slammed Ms. America’s head onto the
vehicle and threw her to the ground where Ms. Hill began choking
her. Questioned by Deputy Travaglio, Ms. Hill stated the attack
was in retaliation for derogatory comments Ms. America made
and because Ms. America is dating her ex-boyfriend. In consequence,
Deputy Travaglio requested a summons for Ms. Hill for assault.
On 23 Sep 07 an employee of Newport IGA, 38140
State Route 7, Newport, reported sometime over the past three
days an unknown suspect pried open three soda vending machines
and stole approximately $150 in change and a coin mechanism
valued at $600. This case remains under investigation (1106).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Heidi Anne Huck, age 33, PO Box 1165, Marietta, for OVI and
passing in a hazardous zone, both misdemeanors. Huck was arrested
on Bramblewood Heights Road by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Sep 07 at 2:03 am.
Anthony Michael Joy, age 22, 2813 Soyer Street Apt 7, Parkersburg,
for OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel,
both misdemeanors. Joy was arrested on US 50 by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 23 Sep 07 at 3:27 am.
Alfred Henry Martin III, age 21, Camelot Road Lot 14, Belpre,
for driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Martin was arrested on State Route 618 near US 50 by Deputy
Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 23 Sep 07 at 7:02 pm.
Jade Ann Palmer, age 32, 213 Curtis Boulevard, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Palmer was arrested at her residence by Patrolman
Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Sep 07 at 8:52 pm.
