On 20 Sep 07 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff
Norman investigated the theft of items from unlocked vehicles
at 150, 195, 240 and 371 Walnut Drive and 135 and 225 High
Lane in Whipple. In one instance the perpetrator entered a
locked garage through a doggie door and stole property from
a vehicle. Stolen items from the various locations include
loose change, a cell phone, blank checks and Vicodin. The total
monetary loss is approximately $140.
On 20 Sep 07 Detective Parks arrested Andrew
W. Beck, age 26, 2470 Whipple Run Road, Whipple, for possession
of drug paraphernalia. Stopped for driving with an expired
registration, Mr. Beck revealed a marijuana pipe when Detective
Parks asked if he was in possession of anything illegal.
On 20 Sep 07 Gabrielle Delaney, age 22, 307
Fifth Street, Lowell, reported she and her husband awoke at
3:45 that morning to find both of their unlocked vehicles were
entered. No items appear missing at this time. This case remains
under investigation (1001).
On 20 Sep 07 Merle T. Cline, age 61, 30 Forshey
Road, Marietta, reported upon returning from a trip to Alaska
he discovered his Advantaged Bank debit card had been used
several times without permission and his account was now overdrawn.
From bank surveillance footage Deputy Sheriff Travaglio identified
the perpetrator as the victim’s son, Thomas J. Cline,
age 32, 865 Smith Road, Marietta. Summing the total loss at
$1,491, Deputy Travaglio requested a warrant for felony theft
for Thomas Cline.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Candice Marie Townsend, age 34, 971 Gilman
Avenue, Marietta, for illegal processing of drug documents,
a felony. Townsend was arrested at the Arbors by Captain Ketelsen
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 07 at 12:30 pm.
John Leonard Clark, age 36, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta,
for three counts of theft and three counts of receiving stolen
property, all misdemeanors. Clark was arrested on Montgomery
Street in Marietta by Sgt. Wright of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
20 Sep 07 at 1:33 pm.
Andrew William Beck, age 26, 2470 Whipple Run Road, Whipple,
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Beck was
arrested on State Route 7 in Belpre by Detective Parks of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 07 at 3:30 pm.
Jamie Ray Thompson, age 26, 809 Lancaster Street, Marietta,
for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of his probation.
Thompson was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Sep 07
at 11:10 pm.
