On 15 Sep 07 Larry D. Schmidt, age 38, 855 Browns Road, Marietta, reported $300, which he was holding for his son’s driver’s license and insurance, was stolen sometime over the past two weeks. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 15 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued a citation to Shelly L. Chisholm, age 39, 2504 Valley View Drive, Belpre, for driving under a suspended license and for operating a vehicle without license plates. Deputy Norman stopped Ms. Chisholm on State Route 7 at Lockhart Street in Belpre Township.

On 15 Sep 07 Kenneth S. Eddy, age 47, 2015 Newells Run Road, Newport, reported he was injured during a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend. Both parties were heavily intoxicated during the incident and some details are still unclear. Therefore, this case remains under investigation (1001).

On 15 Sep 07 a sixteen year old Vincent resident reported he was riding his ATV to work on Woodruff Road in Vincent when a resident on the road pointed a shotgun at him. Interviewing the suspect, Deputy Sheriff Eddy determined the suspect and his wife were unloading items from a vehicle and did not commit a crime when transporting the unloaded weapon into their home.

On 15 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded to a report of an injury sustained during a bicycle wreck on Sandhill Road in Reno. Michael D. Harris, age 45, 482 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, stated he was riding on the sidewalk when his tire became lodged in a crack, causing him to fall to the pavement. The Reno Fire Department transported Mr. Harris to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment for abrasions ands possible fractured bones.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Richard Warren Evans, age 44, 600 Main Street, New Matamoras, for being a fugitive from justice and for following too closely, both misdemeanors. Evans was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 07 at 12:22 am.

Shawn Renea Vanderpool, age 38, 104 Becker Lane, Marietta, for a felony charge of forgery and a misdemeanor charge of driving under an FRA suspended license. Vanderpool was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 07 at 2:53 am.

Stephen Lanise McRhea, age 44, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor. McRhea was arrested on Franklin Street in Marietta by Patrolman Warden of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Sep 07 at 8:00 pm.
