On 6 Sep 07 Sgt. Gherke responded to the scene
of death of a two month old New Matamoras boy. This case remains
under investigation. No foul play is suspected.
On 6 Sep 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested
a summons for Gary M. Grubb, age 44, 997 Gilman Avenue, Marietta,
for theft. Deputy Carr’s affidavit alleges Mr. Grubb
stole a Stihl chainsaw from his former employer on 31 Aug 07
because he was unhappy with his pay.
On 6 Sep 07 an employee of American Electric
Power reported sometime since 15 Aug an unknown suspect(s)
cut through the chain link fence at their substation at 2417
McDonald Road, Vincent and stole two rolls of copper grounding
wire, a loss of $450. This case remains under investigation
(695).
On 6 Sep 07 Daniel Williams, age 19, 1085
State Route 339, Belpre, reported between 11 am and 10:30 pm
that day an unknown suspect(s) broke a front window of his
home, entered the residence and stole a stereo system, a 410
shotgun and a drill. This case remains under investigation
(790).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patrick Roy Jacobsen, age 27, 1194 Warren
Chapel Road, Fleming, for felony charges of theft and forgery
and misdemeanor charges of theft and failure to appear at a
court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Jacobsen was picked
up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Lt. Coppernoll
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 07 at 1:54 pm.
Amanda Dawn Keys, age 27, 2155 Broad Run Road, Saint Marys,
for a felony charge of illegal possession of items to manufacture
drugs and for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at
a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Keys was picked up
at the North Central Regional Jail by Corrections Officer Reeder
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Sep 07 at
5:27 pm.
Rodney Dale Barnes, age 37, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants,
a felony. Barnes was picked up in West Palm Beach, FL by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 6 Sep 07 at 11:52 pm.
