On 30 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested Colton R. Balderson, age 18, 17184 Muskingum River Road, Waterford, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, failure to signal and for having a defective exhaust. Deputy Travaglio noticed Mr. Balderson’s loud exhaust and stopped him near Pennock Street in Beverly. Noticing an odor of burnt marijuana, Deputy Travaglio discovered a butterfly knife and a marijuana bowl in Mr. Balderson’s pocket and bag of marijuana in the vehicle.

On 30 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriffs Carr and Rhodes located and arrested at his residence, Timothy W. Snyder, age 26, 3543 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, for a felony warrant. At the time of his arrest Mr. Snyder had a bag of marijuana in his pocket, resulting in being additionally charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 30 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds investigated the theft of items from at least ten vehicles in the neighborhood of 4350 State Route 26, Marietta. The vehicles entered, some of which were parked in car ports, were left unlocked and only had loose change stolen.

On 30 Aug 07 an employee of Turner’s One Stop, State Route 339, Waterford, reported an intoxicated male was at the business and refused to leave when asked. When he arrived Deputy Sheriff Carr observed Brian K. Bunting, age 51, 710 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, lying in the grass next to a case of Budweiser. For the safety of Mr. Bunting, who tested .275 BAC, Deputy Carr arrested him for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 30 Aug 07 Linda S. Bradley, age 55, 13140 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, reported her friend Donald Covey, age 33, who lives with her, consumed some prescription medication and became abusive toward her. Ms. Bradley stated Mr. Covey pusher her over a trash can, broke her glasses and threatened to kill her if she put him in jail. When Deputies arrived they awoke Mr. Covey from where he passed out on the couch, arrested him for assault and aggravated menacing and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 30 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Brian M. Jumper, age 19, 812 Jackson Avenue, Parkersburg, for traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Jumper on State Route 339 near Veto Road in Dunham Township.

DRUG RELATED ARRESTS

Last night the Narcotics Unit of the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau executed two search warrants and arrested five suspects for drug related offenses. Investigative sources led to the execution of one search warrant at the residence of Martin D. Gibbs Jr., age 19, 710 Front Street Apt 4, Marietta. At the residence detectives discovered marijuana packaged for resale, scales, cash and drug paraphernalia. The second search warrant, carried out at the residence of Ronald W. Fisher, age 32, 129 ½ Spring Street, Marietta, resulted in the seizure of numerous items used to smoke marijuana as well as three bags of marijuana in quantities indicative of personal use. Two other suspects were arrested along with Fisher and Camille Gazzale, age 28, 4135 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, both of whom have pending drug charges levied as a result of a previous search warrant executed at Fisher’s residence on 31 May 07. The individuals arrested and their respective charges pending after yesterdays warrants are:

Martin D. Gibbs, for trafficking in drugs;

Ronald W. Fisher, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia;

Fisher was also arrested on 31May 07 for trafficking and those charges are still pending;
Camille Gazzale, for possession of drug paraphernalia;
Justin L. Knight, age 18, 3153 25th Street Apt 4, Parkersburg, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia;
Ashley N. Wynn, age 27, 108 Theiss Avenue Apt. 6, Marietta, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia;

A seventeen year old female found at one of the locations was released to her parents.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Thomas Earl Brandt, age 24, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Brandt was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 3:30 am.

Yvonne Marie Duskey, age 22, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, for driving left of center and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Duskey was arrested on Pike Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 3:30 am.

Jessica Dawn Mick, age 22, 116 Fourth Street Apt. B, Williamstown, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Mick was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 12:59 pm.

Donald James Covey, age 33, 13140 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, for assault and for aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors. Covey was arrested in New Matamoras by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 7:29 pm.

Colton Ryan Balderson, age 18, 17184 Muskingum River Road, Waterford, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, failure to signal and for having a defective exhaust, all misdemeanors. Balderson was arrested in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 8:13 pm.

Preston Michael Taylor, age 24, 2418 Egypt Run Road, Mineral Wells, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Taylor was arrested on County Nine Road by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 8:45 pm.

Brian Keith Bunting, age 51, 710 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Bunting was arrested in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 9:09 pm.

Ronald Wayne Fisher, age 32, 129 ½ Spring Street, Marietta, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Fisher was arrested at his residence by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 9:20 pm.

Camille Lynn Gazzale, age 28, 4135 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Gazzale was arrested at 129 ½ Spring Street by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 9:20 pm.

Justin Lee Knight, age 18, 727 Greene Street, Marietta, for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Knight was arrested at 129 ½ Spring Street by Detective Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 9:20 pm.

Ashley Nicole Wynn, age 27, 108 Theiss Avenue Apt. 6, Marietta, for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors. Wynn was arrested at 129 ½ Spring Street by Detective Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 9:20 pm.

Martin Deane Gibbs Jr., age 19, 710 Front Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Gibbs was arrested at his residence by Detective Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 10:00 pm.

Clair Allen Hendershot, age 47, 102 Fourth Street, Belpre, for domestic violence, a felony. Hendershot was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 10:00 pm.

Timothy Wayne Snyder, age 26, 3543 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, for a felony charge of failure to appear and for misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Snyder was arrested in Vincent by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Aug 07 at 10:27 pm.
