On 29 Aug 07 Michelle C. Bennett, age 41,
Dock Campground Lot S7, Saint Marys, reported the license plate,
WV number 5LU631, was stolen from her vehicle while parked
in the Influent parking lot that afternoon. These cases remain
under investigation (1106).
On 29 Aug 07 an employee of Cressett Powers
Limited, 1106 Putnam-Howe Drive, Belpre, reported a large brass
impeller that the business stores for Kraton Polymers at its
lot at 255 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, has gone missing
sometime since March 1996. These cases remain under investigation
(200).
On 29 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued
a citation to Robert W. Patterson, age 24, 518 Third Street,
Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for driving
fictitious plates. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Patterson on
Third Street in Marietta.
On 29 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued
a citation to a seventeen year old Marietta resident for traveling
60 mph in a 40 mph zone, for not stopping at a stop sign and
for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Mankins stopped the teenager
on Warrior Drive at the intersection of State Route 550 in
Barlow Township.
On 29 Aug 07 an employee of Pioneer Chevrolet,
1315 Pike Street, Marietta, reported a customer issued the
business a check for $605 on 27 Jun 07 and the check was later
returned for non-sufficient funds. These cases remain under
investigation (8411).
On 29 Aug 07 Vicky McElfresh, age 42, 27476
State Route 7, Reno, reported when she arrived at her residence
that evening she noticed marks on her windows indicative of
an attempt to enter her home. These cases remain under investigation
(1106).
On 29 Aug 07 Melody Hall, age 23, 2950 Righteous
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported her live-in boyfriend David W.
Hart, age 27, choked and shoved her during an argument over
their relationship. Ms. Hall also stated when Mr. Hart pushed
her she fell onto a bed he sat on her and would not let her
go. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Carr, Mr. Hart admitted holding
Ms. Hall down on the bed but denied choking her. As a result,
Deputy Carr arrested Mr. Hart for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 29 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Tornes requested
a summons for Harvey L. Butcher, age 59, 4501 Rosemar Road,
Parkersburg, for passing bad checks. Deputy Tornes’ affidavit
alleges Mr. Butcher issued four checks to Wagner’s Farm
for $1,010.75 in June and July that were returned for non-sufficient
funds.
On 29 Aug 07 Junior R. Tidd, age 35, 16725
Bronze Heights Lane Lot 5, Caldwell, reported sometime over
the past three days a rusty 50’s or 60’s model
bulldozer was stolen from the property he recently purchased
at 405 Hadley Hollow Road, Marietta. This case remains under
investigation (1001).
On 29 Aug 07 the manager of United Rentals,
1205 Pike Street, Marietta, reported an unknown suspect cut
the chain off the business’ gated entrance and stole
eighteen fifty foot pieces of welding cable valued at $2,340.
This case remains under investigation (1001).

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Danielle Renae Watson, age 33, 9573 State
Route 339, Vincent, for failure to appear, a felony. Watson
was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 29 Aug 07 at 2:42 am.
David William Hart, age 27, 2950 Righteous
Ridge Road, Waterford, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Hart was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Aug 07 at 6:02
pm.
Gina Marie Loy, age 19, 518 Third Street Apt. 1, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a felony. Loy was arrested at her residence by Deputy
Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 29 Aug 07 at 10:59 pm.
