On 28 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr issued a citation
to Jason A. Schuck, age 21, 400 Wynnwood Drive, Marietta, for
driving under a suspended license. Deputy Carr stopped Mr.
Schuck on Barth Road at the intersection of Veto Road in Dunham
Township.
On 28 Aug 07 a twenty-three year old Belpre
resident reported for the last ten days an unknown male has
been phoning her and making graphic sexual comments. These
cases remain under investigation (200).
SEXUAL ASSAULT FUGITIVE ARRESTED
On 28 Aug 07 law enforcement authorities in Gulfport, Mississippi
requested the assistance of the Sheriff’s Office in a
sexual assault investigation. The Harrison County Sheriff’s
Department in Gulfport was investigating an alleged sexual
assault involving Matthew W. Ray, age 18, 100 Ellsworth Drive,
Marietta, and a twelve year old relative that occurred while
Mr. Ray was visiting his mother’s residence in June of
this year. Once Detective Evans interviewed Mr. Ray he relayed
the information he gained to the Harrison County Sheriff’s
Department, who in turn obtained a warrant for Mr. Ray. Without
incident, Detective Evans arrested Mr. Ray at his residence
for sexual battery and transported him to the Washington County
Jail. Ray is being held without bond pending his initial court
appearance.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Shane Michael Hardie, age 31, Tenth Street, Parkersburg, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Hardie was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 1:15 am.
Kevin Glenn Lawrence, age 46, 2106 Miller Avenue, Belpre,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Lawrence was arrested on US 50 in Belpre
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 3:43 am.
Jack Oden Patterson III, age 23, 100 Cisler
Drive Apt. C2, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines and for violating the terms of his
probation, both misdemeanors. Oden was arrested on Dawes Circle
by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 2:30 pm.
James Andrew Brookover, age 47, 1807 McDonald Road, Barlow,
for failure to appear, a felony. Brookover was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 3:05 pm.
Chandra Jo O’Curran, age 24, 121 Dean Street, Marietta,
for driving under and FRA suspended license and for driving
with expired plates, both misdemeanors. O’Curran was
arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff McLeish and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 7:49 pm.
Matthew William Ray, age 18, 100 Ellsworth Drive, Marietta,
a fugitive from justice. Ray was arrested at his residence
by Detective Evans of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28
Aug 07 at 9:10 pm.
Brian Keith Bunting, age 51, 710 Washington Boulevard, Belpre,
for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Bunting was
arrested on Muskingum Drive in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 28 Aug 07 at 9:35 pm.
