On 27 Aug 07 Sgt. Stackpole encountered an
intoxicated male staggering in and out of the roadway in the
vicinity of the Williamstown Bridge. The suspect, James L.
Antill Jr., age 24, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 31A, Marietta,
was also yelling profanities at passing vehicles and had difficulty
standing while speaking to Sgt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff
Travaglio. For his safety and as a result of his behavior,
Mr. Antill was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Aug 07 Bonnie J. Grinnell, age 46, 27400
State Route 7 Lot 80, Marietta, reported while she was away
for forty-five minutes an unknown suspect(s) forced open the
front and rear doors of her locked trailer. This case remains
under investigation (1097).
On 27 Aug 07 Elizabeth S. Green, age 43, 108
Brandy Drive, Marietta, reported during the night an unknown
suspect(s) entered two unlocked vehicles in her driveway and
stole an iPod and approximately $8 in loose change. This case
remains under investigation (1184).
On 27 Aug 07 an employee of Byer’s Exxon,
26960 State Route 7, Marietta, reported around closing time
the previous evening a male subject walked into the store,
grabbed a bag of Bugler tobacco and the Humane Society donation
box and ran out of the store. This case remains under investigation
(953).
On 27 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris was dispatched
to the scene of a domestic dispute at 1247 Sealy Ridge Road,
Vincent. The victim, Amanda L. Blind, age 23, stated her live-in
boyfriend Timothy S. Mackey, age 26, pushed her against a wall
and choked her during a confrontation over an empty pill bottle.
Escaping Mr. Mackey’s clutches, Ms. Blind attempted to
escape but was caught from behind and choked again. Mr. Mackey
released Ms. Blind only after she bit him in the upper part
of his back. In conclusion to his investigation Deputy Morris
arrested Mr. Mackey for domestic violence and transported him
to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Aug 07 an employee of Pioneer Chevrolet,
1315 Pike Street, Marietta, reported over the weekend an unknown
suspect(s) cut the catalytic converters off two vehicles that
were parked outside the business’ body shop. This case
remains under investigation (1299).
On 27 Aug 07 an employee of the Pit Stop,
3355 State Route 821, Marietta, reported the previous evening
a customer attempted to pay for $57.41 in gas, a case of beer
and a pack of cigarettes with a check with non-sufficient funds.
Seeing the check was declined, the male suspect ran out of
the store with the items and fled in a red truck. This case
remains under investigation (953).
On 27 Aug 07 Chief Deputy Stephens arrested
Ronald D. Hoke, age 39, 3750 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, for
littering, consuming alcohol in a vehicle and for a warrant
for failure to appear. A passenger in a vehicle traveling on
Highland Ridge Road, Mr. Hoke threw an empty beer can into
a yard as Chief Stephens watched. Conducting a traffic stop
on the vehicle, Chief Stephens observed an open can of beer
at Mr. Hoke’s feet and a twelve pack of Milwaukee’s
Best Ice to Mr. Hoke’s left. When questioned, Mr. Hoke
admitted consuming alcohol in the vehicle and throwing the
empty can out the window.
On 27 Aug 07 Carrie Powell, age 28, 4680 State
Route 339, Vincent, reported during the night an unknown suspect(s)
entered two locked vehicles in her driveway and stole two portable
DVD players, a pair of prescription sunglasses, 320 CD’s
and ten DVD’s. In the same time frame, Aneysa Dearth,
age 27, 20 Walnut Lane, Belpre, stated an unlocked vehicle
in her driveway was entered and a DVD and thirty DVD’s
stolen. These cases remain under investigation (1299).

Center Drive Apt. 31A, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by
intoxication, a misdemeanor. Antill was arrested on Pike Street
in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 07 at 12:54 am.
Timothy Scott Mackey, age 26, 1247 Sealy Ridge
Road, Vincent, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mackey
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Morris and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 07 at 11:51
am.
Douglas Dean Stephens, age 48, 295 Warrior Drive, Vincent,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Stephens
was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 07
at 2:10 pm.
Shane Lee Goins, age 30, 464 Moxahala Avenue, Zanesville,
for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Goins was picked up at
the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 07
at 3:50 pm.
Ronald Duane Hoke, age 39, 3750 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for littering, consuming alcohol in a vehicle and for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors.
Hoke was arrested on Highland Ridge Road by Chief Deputy Stephens
of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 27 Aug 07 at 7:35 pm.
