On 26 Aug 07 Deborah A. Cline, age 54, 288 Water Street, Lowell, reported sometime since 8 pm on 16 Aug her Honda Spree scooter was stolen from where she parked it on her porch. This case remains under investigation (1097).

On 26 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a citation to Karol Bushman, age 23, 508 Roselynne Avenue, Parkersburg, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Staats stopped Ms. Bushman near milepost six on State Route 339 in Barlow Township.

On 26 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued a citation to Dustin M. Omspach, age 25, 314 Fourth Street, Lowell, for traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Staats stopped Mr. Omspach near milepost nine on State Route 339 in Barlow Township.

On 26 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Ashley R. Carr, age 28, 118 Turkey Knob Road, Newport, for traveling 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Carr near milepost thirty-seven on State Route 7 in Newport Township.

On 26 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Brandon J. Brown, age 21, 485 Dana Run Road, Newport, for not using a turn signal and for driving a vehicle with fictitious plates. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Brown on State Route 7 near Greene Street in Newport Township.

On 26 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Jason C. Showalter, age 34, 440 Winding Road, Parkersburg, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Showalter near milepost thirty-four on State Route 7 in Newport Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kyle James Kinney, age 23, 2577 Romig Road, Akron, for driving under a twelve point suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Kinney was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 07 at 9:50 am.

John David O’Brien Jr., age 25, 833 Second Street Lot 5, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. O’Brien was arrested at Starfire in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 07 at 9:40 pm.

Ira David Blair Jr., age 22, 503 Ferguson Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Blair was arrested at Starfire in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Aug 07 at 9:50 pm.

Joseph James Patterson, age 46, 317 Gilman Avenue Lot A, Marietta, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Patterson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Aug 07 at 10:31 pm.
