On 24 Aug 07 James Ball, age 60, 540 Tabor Ridge Road, Stockport, reported the driver of a truck turned his vehicle around by entering his yard. Mr. Ball stated a profanity laced argument also took place when he confronted the truck’s driver and female passenger. This case remains under investigation (586).

On 24 Aug 07 Frank L. Williams, age 72, 26000 State Route 7, Marietta, reported during the previous night an unknown suspect(s) cut the catalytic converter off his 1994 Chevy truck that was parked in a gravel lot on his property. This case remains under investigation (1299).

On 24 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued a citation to Regina Scott, age 47, 750 Newells Run Road, Newport, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy Travaglio stopped Ms. Scott on State Route 7 at Newells Run Road in Newport Township.

COOPERATION RESULTS IN METHAMPHETAMINE ARRESTS

Responding to reports of individuals regularly purchasing large quantities of medicines containing the methamphetamine precursor pseudo ephedrine, the St. Marys Detachment WVSP, the Pleasants County Sheriff’s Office, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Washington County Major Crimes Task Force today arrested Timothy Northrop, age 44, 3209 Kings Road, Saint Marys, Amanda Keys, age 27, and Rodney King Jr., both of 2155 Broad Run Road, Saint Marys, for illegal possession of items to manufacture drugs. Records indicate the trio began purchasing pseudo ephedrine in quantities above the legal limit as early as February 2007 and utilized five pharmacies in Washington County and one in West Virginia. Under questioning by TF agents, each of the suspects admitted purchasing pseudo ephedrine in quantities ranging from thirteen to twenty-four grams during a thirty day periods ending in July. Searches of the above locations revealed two disassembled meth labs. The suspects are currently being held at the North Central Regional Jail pending extradition.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Aaron Joe Smith, age 25, 479 Four Mile Creek Road, Coolville, for driving under a twelve point suspended license, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, for driving under an FRA suspended license, for having fictitious plates and for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on US 50 near Clement Avenue by Deputy Sheriff Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 12:55 am.

Michael Lee Winland, age 22, 288 Patten Mills Road, Cutler, for OVI, speeding, driving under a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and for operating a vehicle without plates, all misdemeanors. Winland was arrested on State Route 7 at Virginia Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 1:30 am.

Michelle Dawn Dennis, age 30, 479 Four Mile Creek Road, Coolville, for tampering with drugs, a felony. Davis was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 3:00 am.

Joshua Aaron Kidd, age 26, 223 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for breach of recognizance, a misdemeanor. Kidd was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 10:40 am.

Matthew Steven Yonker, age 23, 937 Second Street, Middleport, OH, for trafficking in drugs and for possession of drugs, both felonies. Yonker was picked up at the Corrections Reception Center by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 3:00 pm.

Keith James Shultz Jr., age 34, 32223 County Road 132, Barnsville, OH, for driving under a suspended license and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Shultz was arrested on State Route 821 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 9:58 pm.

Christopher Paul Wolfe, age 34, 73 Callihan Road, Marietta, for failure to confine/restrain a dog, a misdemeanor. Wolfe was arrested near milepost twelve on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 10:00 pm.

Daniel Andrew Heiss, age 49, 14660 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, for obstructing official business and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Heiss was arrested on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Aug 07 at 11:49 pm.
