On 21 Aug 07 Sgt. Underwood and Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded to a domestic altercation at 18001 State Route 676, Marietta. James Mace, age 51, stated he and his children Gretchen, age 22, and Graham, age 22, were attacked by his son Jason, age 24. The victims stated Jason was very intoxicated and became upset when Gretchen said she was going to take the DVD player when she moved in several days. During the incident that followed Jason punched his brother in the face and torso, threatened to kill his sister while holding a metal chair and shoved his father to the ground. Jason admitted to Deputy Spencer he drank four forty ounce bottles of beer and that he assaulted his father and brother but denied threatening his sister. To conclude the incident Deputy Spencer arrested Jason for three counts of domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 21 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested a summons for Jeffrey B. Headlee, age 49, 217 Culver Run Road, Waterford, for violating the terms of a protection order. Deputy Carr’s affidavit alleges Mr. Headlee drove by the home of Darren L. Morris age 42, 116 Second Street, Vincent, made an obscene gesture and blew a kiss at Mr. Morris and his wife. Mr. Morris’ front porch is thirty feet from the roadway and Mr. Headlee’s behavior is prohibited by Mr. Morris’ protection order.

On 21 Aug 07 Angela Wriston, age 34, 16051 State Route 821, Macksburg, reported while she and her husband were at work an unknown suspect entered her home and stole $110 from a kitchen cabinet. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 21 Aug 07 an employee of Selby Hospital’s Devola Medical Center, 4727 State Route 60, Marietta, reported during the night an unknown suspect broke a pane of glass in a failed attempt to enter the building via a side door. This case remains under investigation (1106).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

James A. Brookover, age 47, 1700 McDonald Road, Vincent, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 6 Aug 07.

Raymond E. Howard Jr., age 33, 533 Third Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on an order to show cause on 6 Aug 07.

James E. Buck, age 49, 401 Lancaster Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of working off fines with community service or to serve thirty days in jail.

Janerio R. Dilo, age 24, 1507 Saint Marys Avenue, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to serve three days in jail.

Hugh D. McGrew, age 19, 109 Colonial Square, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show proof of obtaining a valid operator’s license or to serve three days in jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Thaddeus Mace, age 24, 18001 State Route 676, Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Mace was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Spencer and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 4:15 am.

Brandon Lee Kennedy, age 19, 672 Hill Road, Cutler, for driving under an FRA suspended license, speeding and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Kennedy was arrested on State Route 550 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 11:45 am.

Susan Raye Harvey, age 33, 11722 State Route 555, Cutler, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors. Harvey was arrested on Mayle Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 1:00 pm.

Christopher Neil Mayle, age 28, 11722 State Route 555, Cutler, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested on Mayle Ridge Road by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 1:25 pm.

Amber Lynn Webster, age 27, 39 Barbour Street, Glouster, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Webster was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 6:57 pm.

Christopher Lee Caldwell, age 25, 1821 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Caldwell was arrested on Washington Boulevard by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 8:09 pm.

James Edward Britton Jr., age 58, 822 Clifton Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and for a misdemeanor charge of using a weapon while intoxicated. Britton was arrested on Butler Street in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 Aug 07 at 9:22 pm.
