On 20 Aug 07 Brenda Waterman, age 44, 105
Hickory Street, Lower Salem, reported her Ford Ranger was towed
to Gary’s Towing on 12 Aug and when she picked it up
eight days later she noticed the catalytic converter had been
cut off. This case remains under investigation (684).
On 20 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested
a seventeen year old Little Hocking resident on a charge of
delinquency by domestic violence. The teenager’s his
forty-eight year old father stated he confronted his son over
his plans to use his credit card to phone a phone sex service.
The juvenile flew into a fit of rage, spitting his father in
the face, striking him with his knee and biting his arm. Questioned
by Deputy Smeeks, the juvenile confessed to attacking his father
because he was very upset.
On 20 Aug 07 William H. Lafollette, age 70,
505 Fifth Street, Marietta, reported sometime over the weekend
an aluminum row boat was stolen from where he tied it to his
dock at his river lot at 403 Water Street, Lowell. This case
remains under investigation (1299).
On 20 Aug 07 Cheryl Parsons, age 48, 2 State
Route 124, Little Hocking, reported when she checked her debit
card statement she noticed an unauthorized individual used
her card number to accrue $85 in charges on adult internet
sites. This case remains under investigation (684).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jerry L. Bauerbach, age 41, 211 Sixth Street,
Beverly, for violating the terms of a protection order, a misdemeanor.
Bauerbach was arrested at Pennock Trailer Court by Deputy Sheriff
Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20
Aug 07 at 12:08 am.
Jennifer Marcella McGowan, age 23, 707 Sixth
Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation,
a misdemeanor. McGowan was arrested at her residence by Detective
Hiatt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 20 Aug 07 at 2:24 pm.
Thomas Robert Paul, age 27, 1326 ½ Maple Street, Zanesville,
for possession of drugs, a felony. Paul was picked up at the
Noble Correctional Institution by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Aug 07 at 3:50 pm.
