On 15 Aug 07 Kevin Chase, age 53, 404 Washington Street, Marietta, reported between 6:30 pm and 9 pm the previous evening an unknown suspect dented the roof and scratched the rear quarter panel of his 1993 Plymouth Acclaim. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 15 Aug 07 Jeffrey Parson, age 33, 580 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, reported during the night an unknown suspect(s) entered his and his wife’s unlocked vehicles, rummaged through the glove compartments and stole loose change. Neighbors John C. Parson, age 62, 586 Robinson Hill Road, and David Ward, age 41, 2548 Vickers Road, also reported their unlocked vehicles were entered. From Mr. Parson’s vehicle $180 and loose change were taken and from Mr. Ward’s three vehicles only loose change was missing. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 15 Aug 07 the owner of Wagner Farms, 10130 State Route 60, Lowell, reported on 29 Jun and 3 Jul an individual issued four checks to the business for a total of $1,010.75 and that the checks were returned for non-sufficient funds. This case remains under investigation (8411).

On 15 Aug 07 an employee of Joy Exterminators, 285 Harris Street, Newport, reported the business received a bad check for $64.20 for services rendered on 20 Apr 07. This case remains under investigation (8411).

Jason M. Arnold, age 28, 1235 Elm Street, Zanesville, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 27 Jul 07.

Derek A. Cope, age 19, 103 Oakwood Avenue, Marietta, for the theft of three packs of Marlboro cigarettes from Sponey’s IGA on 19 Jul 07.

Terry M. Gibson, age 46, 109 Washington Street, Marietta, for attempting to convey Xanax into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 07.

Nicky L. Lamp, age 34, 41 Dunn Lane, New Matamoras, for failing to appear for pretrial on 10 Aug 07.

Robin J. Richards, age 20, 4076 State Route 339, Belpre, for possession of drug paraphernalia on 10 Aug 07.

James D. Somerville, age 39, Dee Street Lot 9, Waverly, WV, for failing to appear to serve three days in jail on 25 Jul 07.

Larry G. Thompson, age 45, 120 Ward Street, Marietta, for being in possession of an open container of alcohol on 9 Aug 07.

Jason L. Williams, age 21, 313 Franklin Street, Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 31 Jul 07.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Robert Jonathan Huffman, age 26, 797 Channel Lane, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Huffman was arrested on Glendale Road in Marietta by Patrolman Wenzel of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 07 at 7:01 am.

Justin Daniel Deems, age 27, 18155 State Route 550, Marietta, for illegally conveying items into a detention facility, a felony. Deems was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 07 at 3:21 pm.

Jason Eugene Barnes, age 30, 836 Pike Street Apt. 2, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Barnes was arrested at Wal Mart in Marietta by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 07 at 5:30 pm.

Margaret Francis Byrom, age 40, Marietta, for a felony charge of breach of recognizance and a misdemeanor charge of contempt of a court order. Byrom was picked up in Dekalb County, GA by Deputy Sheriff Doak and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 07 at 6:22 pm.

Terry Mitchell Gibson Sr., age 46, 710 Front Street Apt. 1, Marietta, for illegally conveying items into a detention facility, a felony. Gibson Deems was arrested by Detective parks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Aug 07 at 10:00 pm.
