On 11 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a domestic altercation involving Delbert Lasure, age 57, 27476
State Route 7, Marietta, and his live-in girlfriend’s
fourteen year old son. The victim stated he was seated in the
front seat of the family’s van when, for reasons unbeknownst
to him, Mr. Lasure grabbed his feet and pulled him out of the
vehicle onto the ground. Mr. Lasure then picked the juvenile
up, tried choking him and punched him in the back. Corroborating
the teenager’s statement with the boy’s mother,
Deputy Eddy arrested Mr. Lasure for domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds responded
to a report of possible alcohol poisoning at 1235 County House
Lane, Marietta. As Eric Adams, age 18, 3260 State Route 26,
Marietta, was transported to the hospital, Adam Hadley, age
18, informed Deputy Reynolds that Mr. Adams was at his house
and the two consumed multiple shots of rum. Through other statements
Deputy Reynolds determined Dustin Reynolds, age 23, 105 Groves
Avenue, Marietta, purchased the alcohol earlier in the day
and left the bottle in the home’s freezer after he got
of work. Prior to his departure for work Mr. Reynolds observed
Mr. Adams and Mr. Hadley drinking the alcohol and told them
to stop but then left. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Reynolds
requested summonses for Mr. Adams and Mr. Hadley for underage
consumption of alcohol and for Mr. Reynolds for furnishing
alcohol to individuals under twenty-one.
On 11 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Eddy investigated
a casualty report on Smith Road in Wingett Run. Daryl Bowersock,
age 39, 21185 State Route 26, Wingett Run, stated he was painting
on a roof of a barn when his foot slipped on wet paint and
caused him to fall twenty feet to the ground. A witness confirmed
the cause of the accident which resulted in a broken arm and
other minor injuries.
On 11 Aug 07 Noal Quattlebaum, age 21, 85
Lang Farm Road, Marietta, reported a Chevy S-10 drove up his
driveway and shot paintballs at his residence. Mr. Quattlebaum
stated he chased the truck onto State Route 676 and forced
the vehicle to stop by pulling and stopping in front of it.
At that time three males exited the truck, assaulted him and
fled. This case remains under investigation (1293).
On 11 Aug 07 Corrections Officer Ferrell investigated
an incident of vandalism at the Washington County Jail. Responding
to a control room report of a water flow alarm, Corrections
Officer observed water spraying from the sprinkler head in
the disciplinary isolation cell of Robert L. Patterson, age
24, 3799 Broadway Avenue, Grove City, OH. Though unlikely,
Patterson stated the damage was accidental, claiming he was
twirling his bed sheet like nunchuks. CO Ferrell forwarded
the results of his investigation to the prosecutor’s
Office for grand jury consideration.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Seth Rick Robins, age 25, 421 Beechwood Drive, Akron, for
speeding and for driving under a suspended license, both misdemeanors.
Robins was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Aug 07 at 2:50 pm.
Kenneth William Hickman, age 36, Davlin Lake Lot 47, Barlow,
for two misdemeanor counts of passing bad checks. Hickman was
arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Aug 07 at 4:13 pm.
Delbert Floyd Lasure, age 57, 27476 State Route 7, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Lasure was arrested at
his residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Aug 07 at 5:08 pm.
Shane Michael Bennett, age 31, 718 ½ Middle Street
Apt. B, Belpre, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Bennett was arrested
on Farson Street in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Aug 07 at 4:50
am.
