On 7 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes was dispatched
to the scene of death of an eighty-three year old Marietta
resident. The woman’s death appears natural; no foul
play is suspected.
On 7 Aug 07 Robert Handschumaker, age 46,
29 Handschumaker Road, Marietta, reported between 4 and 5 Aug
a Kohler Pro engine was stolen from an oil well site on Shay
Ridge Road in New Matamoras. This case remains under investigation
(684).
On 7 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Malone was dispatched
to the scene of death of a sixty-three year old Little Hocking
resident. The man’s death appears natural; no foul play
is suspected.
On 7 Aug 07 Evelane E. Peet, age 38, 2575
Lindamood Road, Macksburg, reported sometime that afternoon
or early evening an unknown suspect drove their vehicle onto
her property without permission. This case remains under investigation
(1090).
On 7 Aug 07 Lt. Wilson and Deputy Sheriff
Reynolds issued minor misdemeanor citations to Earl L. Blume,
age 74, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 31, Marietta, and James
G. Harris, age 29, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt. 31A, for disorderly
conduct. Both subjects were observed by witnesses at the apartment
complex engaged in a confrontation during which Mr. Blume cursed
at and taunted Mr. Harris and Mr. Harris shoved Mr. Blume.

Brent J. McKinney, age 33, 6650 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 31 Jul 07.
Phillip E. Singer, age 40, 40 Hanover Road, Cutler, for breach
of recognizance for failing to appear for arraignment on 9
Jul 07.
Janerio R. Dilo, age 24, 1507 Saint Marys Avenue, Parkersburg,
for fishing in the Ohio River without a license on 15 Jul 07.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Andrew Bradford Russo, age 28, 840 Pike Street Apt. 37, Marietta,
for failure to appear, a felony. Russo was arrested on State
Route 7 in Reno by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 7 Aug 07 at 12:05 am.
Sheree Noreen Webb, age 47, 20250 State Route 60, Beverly,
for OVI, driving outside the marked lanes of travel and for
driving without headlights, all misdemeanors. Webb was arrested
on State Route 60 in Beverly by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 7 Aug 07 at 3:15 am.
Cornelius Jermain Rendell, age 31, 8909 Dennison
Avenue, Cleveland, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Rendell
was picked up in Cuyahoga County by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 7 Aug 07 at
7:12 pm.
Tommy Glen Bettis, age 57, 631 Seventh Street, Marietta, for
possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Bettis was
arrested on Harmar Street in Marietta by Patrolman Nedeff of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 7 Aug 07 at 7:38 p
