On 6 Aug 07 the owner of Turner’s One Stop and Storage, 18971 State Route 339, Waterford, reported overnight the locks on seven storage units were cut and an unknown amount of property stolen. This case remains under investigation (1106).

On 6 Aug 07 the mayor of Macksburg reported sometime over the past week a village owned wood picnic table was stolen from the municipal park, destroyed and scattered around the neighboring woods. This case remains under investigation (1106).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

David Lee Perine, age 22, Reno, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Perine turned himself in and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Aug 07 at 8:57 am.

James Robert Brooks, age 28, 3049 Turkey Run Road, Fleming, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, for operating an unsafe vehicle, for operating a vehicle without license plates and for failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Brooks was arrested on County Road 126 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Aug 07 at 9:48 am.

Jeffrey Alan Theiss, age 29, 27130 State Route 7, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Theiss was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Aug 07 at 11:05 am.
