On 3 Aug 07 Lt. Wilson stopped and was issuing
a citation to Jon E. Preston, age 26, 1606 Latrobe Street,
Parkersburg, for driving with fictitious plates when Mr. Preston’s
wife Norma, age 36, began screaming and cursing. Mrs. Preston
refused to heed her husband’s and Lt. Wilson’s
requests to calm down and was arrested for disorderly conduct
and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 3 Aug 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks responded
to 293 Springston Road, Vincent, to investigate to a domestic
dispute. The victim, Kim Cha Lynch, age 48, was covered with
what she said was her husband’s blood and stated that
her husband, David, age 42, threw her to the floor by grabbing
her neck and was twisting her arm and leg. Mrs. Lynch said
she used her leg to knock him off and when she did he fell
and hit his head on a treadmill frame, causing a cut above
his eye. Further detailing the incident, Mrs. Lynch said at
one point her husband picked up a claw hammer and said that
he “should just kill her.” Even though Mr. Lynch
did not hit her with the hammer, Mrs. Lynch stated she feared
for her safety. As a result, Mr. Lynch was arrested for domestic
violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brad Lee Robison, age 47, 603 Village Drive, Fairmont, WV,
for .17 breath OVI and for driving outside the marked lanes
of travel, both misdemeanors. Robison was arrested on Greene
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Aug 07 at 2:25 am.
Norma Jean Preston, age 36, 1606 Latrobe Street, Parkersburg,
for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Preston
was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff
Norman and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Aug
07 at 3:06 am.
Matthew Twain Berga, age 29, 876 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Berga
was arrested on behalf of Probation Officer Brockmeier and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Aug 07 at 3:35
am.
Rocky Allen Hockenberry, age 48, County House
Lane, Marietta, for driving with an expired registration, a
misdemeanor. Hockenberry was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman
Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Aug 07 at 12:49 pm.
David Edwin Lynch, age 42, 293 Springston Road, Vincent, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Lynch was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 3 Aug 07 at 6:09 pm.
