On 1 Aug 07 Tom Fiala, age 47, 2612 Fordham Circle NW, North Canton, OH, reported he and his family were en route home from North Carolina when they experienced engine trouble and left a portion of their belongings in their Expedition at Family Ford on 15 Jul 07. Between then and when he picked up the repaired vehicle at A-Auto in Marietta a week later, Mr. Fiala stated electronic devices, clothing, luggage, a camera, DVD’s and snacks were stolen from inside, a loss of over $1,600. This case remains under investigation (1106).

On 1 Aug 07 Dwain W. Hughes, age 43, 565 Dalzell Road, Whipple, reported sometime over the past two days an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole a jar of change a two books of checks. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Darran Lamont Wedington, age 20, 241 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, for failure to comply with the order/signal of an officer, a felony. Wedington was arrested on Fifth Street in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Aug 07 at 7:30 am.

Carrie Ann Anderson, age 31, 205 Sheldon Avenue Apt. 2, Marietta, for a felony charge of nonsupport of dependants and for four counts of violating the terms of her probation. Anderson was arrested on State Route 26 by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Aug 07 at 4:21 pm.

Jessie James Corder, age 26, 141 Main Street, Macksburg, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Corder was picked up at the Athens County line by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Aug 07 at 8:00 pm.

Michael Joseph Littleton, age 19, 710 Front Street Apt. 11, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Littleton was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 1 Aug 07 at 8:40 pm.
