On 31 Jul 07 Ursula Hughey, age 39, 8780 Highland Ridge Road, Macksburg, reported overnight an unknown suspect(s) stole the license plates off her vehicle, entered the unlocked passenger compartment and stole several CD’s and seven bottles of her prescription medication. This case remains under investigation (1106).

On 31 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested Sidney E. Helms Jr., age 38, 115 Second Street Apt. E, Byesville, for driving under a suspended license, for having a cracked windshield and for having fictitious plates. Deputy Travaglio stopped Mr. Helms on Interstate 77 for having a windshield that was cracked on the driver’s side when dispatch informed him that Mr. Helms also had outstanding warrants from Belmont and Guernsey counties.

Harold Michaels, age 44, 838 Second Street Apt. B, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on 17 Jul 07.

Angela D. Carpenter, age 40, 1150 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $343.20.

Sheldon D. Hill, age 24, 11827 State Route 555, Cutler, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $530.50.

Autumn D. Lucas, age 28, 12210 State Route 60, Lowell, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $957.25.

Dwight K. Masters, age 39, 612 Warren Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,350.75.

Jason E. Milliron, age 22, 728 Second Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $174.20.

Alisha D. Small, age 26, 13774 State Route 339, Watertown, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $804.30.

Wilbur L. Yarbrough, age 38, 45 East Fifth Street, Greenville, SC, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $253.50.

Christopher P. Wolfe, age 34, 73 Callihan Road, Marietta, for failure to confine a dog on 6 Jun 07.

Jessica L. Norwood, age 19, 40 Mitchell Lane, Washington, WV, for issuing a bad check for $35.56 to Sponey’s IGA on 18 Mar 07.

John D. Nicholas, age 43, 109 Washington Street, Marietta, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $226.20.

April R. Hill, age 31, 1815 Main Street, Stockport for issuing bad checks totaling $275.57 to B&W Pharmacy.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Jay Smith, age 22, 606 Lee Street, Belpre, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 07 at 1:00 am.

Frank Cunningham, age 32, 4845 Dickerson Street, Detroit, MI, for felony charges of receiving stolen property, possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of items into a detention facility and for a misdemeanor charge of OVI. Cunningham was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 07 at 3:41 am.

Sidney Edward Helms Jr., age 38, 115 Second Street Apt. E, Byesville, for driving under a twelve point suspended license, for having fictitious plates, for a windshield wiper violation and for passing bad checks, all misdemeanors. Helms was arrested on Interstate 77 by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 31 Jul 07 at 4:30 pm.
