On 29 Jul 07 David Reynolds, age 58, 360 Highland
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported twenty-five tractor weights were
stolen from his yard sometime since the first of June. This
case remains under investigation (296).
On 29 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris investigated
an altercation that transpired inside the Outskirts at 20825
State Route 550, Marietta. Witnesses stated Thomas E. Morrison,
age 62, 970 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, was involved in the brawl
that resulted in one male being transported to the hospital
and left blood and broken beer bottles on the dance floor.
Though Mr. Morrison denied being involved he was charged with
for disorderly conduct by fighting and transported to the Washington
County Jail. Deputy Morris could not confirm reports that Howard
J. Starlin, age 55, 270 East Henniger Road, Lowell, took part
in the fight but Starlin’s harassment of a woman outside
the bar resulted in his arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
On 29 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued
a citation to Joshua M. Nestor, age 34, 733 George Street,
Belpre, for pulling a trailer without a license plate. Deputy
Reynolds stopped Mr. Nestor near milepost one on State Route
618 in Belpre Township.
On 29 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued
a citation to Austin J. Alexander, 715 Greene Street Apt. B,
Marietta, for driving with tags that expired in November 2006.
Deputy Smeeks stopped Mr. Alexander on Putnam Street at the
intersection of Fourth Street in Marietta.
On 29 Jul 07 at 6 am Deputy Sheriff Morris
was dispatched to Big 4 Suzuki, 25955 State Route 7, Marietta,
in response to reports that a male was passed out in the parking
lot. Deputy Morris discovered, woke Shawn R. Oliver, age 24,
915 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, and noticed a strong odor of
alcohol. For his safety, Mr. Oliver was arrested for disorderly
conduct by intoxication and transported to the Washington County
Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas Edward, age 62, 970 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, for disorderly
conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor. Edward was arrested at
the Outskirts bar by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 07 at 1:17 am.
Howard J. Starlin, age 55, 270 Henniger Road, Lowell, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Starlin
was arrested at the Outskirts bar by Deputy Sheriff Morris
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 07
at 1:34 am.
Edward Miles Casto, age 44, 232 Sixth Street, Marietta, for
OVI, driving under a suspended license, squealing tires and
for violating the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors.
Casto was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 07 at 3:54 am.
Shawn Robert Oliver, age 24, 915 Sugar Run Road, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Oliver
was arrested at Big 4 Suzuki by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 29 Jul 07 at 7:08 am.
Michael Larry Watkins II, age 38, Marietta, for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Watkins was picked up at the Southeastern Regional Jail in
Nelsonville by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 29
Jul 07 at 9:37 am.
