On 28 Jul 07 Brett A. Conroy, age 20, 10175 Porter Lane, Athens, struck a deer as he traveled southbound on State Route 7 near milepost eleven. Mr. Conroy’s GMC Sonoma suffered functional damage to the front driver side; no injuries were reported (200).

On 28 Jul 07 Ralph Martin, age 48, 141 Main Street, Macksburg, reported while he attended a cookout that afternoon a Craftsman air compressor and several tools were stolen from his property. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 28 Jul 07 Jeffrey E. Douglas, age 36, 250 Greenwood Street, Newport, reported while he was playing in a softball game that evening an unknown suspect(s) kicked in his trailer’s front door, breaking an antique table and damaged a ceiling fan and barstool once inside. This case remains under investigation (296).

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Lee Williams, age 26, 1565 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested at the Locker Room in Marietta by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Jul 07 at 2:45 am.
