On 25 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons requested
a summons for Katie D. Cline, age 19, 27400 State Route 7 Lot
63, Marietta, for assault. Deputy Simmons’ affidavit
requesting the summons alleges Ms. Cline chased and tackled
an eleven year old girl then briefly choked the girl with her
necklace.
On 25 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested
Amos D. Armstrong, age 22, 29312 Enterprise Isles, Logan, OH,
for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs.
During the stop of Mr. Armstrong for having an inoperable license
plate light, Deputy Staats’ canine indicated the presence
of drugs in the vehicle. When he searched Mr. Amos and his
vehicle Deputy Staats located a snuff can containing marijuana,
a marijuana joint and rolling papers.
On 25 Jul 07 Tamela S. Rhodes, age 42, 820
Mill Branch Road, Belpre, reported sometime between 22 and
25 Jul she believes her son Wayne A. Rhodes, age 18, 405A 13th
Street, Parkersburg, broke the window of his old bedroom. Interviewed
by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks, Mr. Rhodes admitted he traveled to
his parents’ residence to retrieve property and to instigate
a fight with his father. When he noticed no one present at
the residence Mr. Rhodes said he became angry and threw a bicycle
foot peg through the window of his old room. As a result, Deputy
Smeeks requested a summons for Mr. Rhodes for criminal damaging.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Adam Eugene Drayer, age 23, 186 Mill Street Apt. 205, Athens,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Drayer was arrested at the intersection of Seventh and Greene
Street in Marietta by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 07 at 12:34 am.
Jeffrey Neel Smith, age 26, Route 3 Box 829, Elizabeth, WV,
for driving under a suspended license and for not wearing a
seat belt, both misdemeanors. Smith was arrested on State Route
7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 25 Jul 07 at 7:08 pm.
Clarence A. Wriston III, age 33, 709 ½ Wayne Street,
Marietta, for three misdemeanor counts of criminal damaging.
Wriston was arrested on Putnam Street in Marietta by Patrolman
McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jul 07 at 11:54 pm.
