MULTIPLE DRUG TRAFFICKING ARRESTS

In conclusion to a joint investigation with the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force, the Major Crimes Task Force executed two search warrants this morning and arrested four suspects on charges involving drug trafficking. The search warrants, executed at the Budget Lodge on Washington Boulevard in Belpre, resulted in the seizure of five and a half pounds of marijuana, ninety ecstasy pills and approximately $2,500 cash. Those suspects arrested and their respective charges are:

Andre Delvon Hamlet, age 23, Budget Lodge Room 118, Belpre, for permitting drug abuse, a fifth degree felony;

The investigation began when a confidential informant purchased twenty ecstasy pills for $15 each from Mr. Frank, with Mr. Hamlet and Mr. Pippens present in room number 118. Further surveillance revealed the suspects were traveling between room 118 and room 128, where during the search warrant detectives discovered the marijuana in a cooler, packaged for sale with a street value of $25,000.
