On 17 Jul 07 Lt. Wilson arrested Tina M. Sims,
age 43, 11870 Veto Road, Marietta, for OVI and driving left
of center. Lt. Wilson observed Ms. Sims travel across the centerline,
completely in the opposite lane of Veto Road and conducted
a traffic stop. Ms. Sims nearly fell as she exited her vehicle
and had a strong odor of alcohol. Prior to completing field
sobriety tests Ms. Sims admitted consuming alcohol and taking
prescription Zoloft. Following her poor performance on the
tests Ms. Sims was transported to the Washington County Jail
where she tested .134% BAC.
On 17 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats arrested
Tana K. Senften, age 45, 57 Rock Street, Coolville, for possession
of drugs. Ms. Senften was a passenger in a truck Deputy Staats
stopped on US 50 for not signaling a lane change. During the
stop Deputy Staats observed Ms. Senften trying to conceal something
behind her back, prompting him to perform an exterior canine
search. Once the canine indicated the presence of drugs in
the vehicle, Deputy Staats located behind Ms. Senften’s
seat, a baggy containing three Vicodin pills and a Percocet
pill.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Judith Faye Sergent, age 53, 845 County House
Lane, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Sergent turned herself in to
Patrolman Linscott at the Marietta City Police Department and
was processed into the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 07
at 8:30 am.
Thomas Robert Paul, age 27, 1326 ½ Maple Street, Zanesville,
for a felony charge of possession of drugs and for misdemeanor
charges of possession of drugs, falsification and possession
of drug paraphernalia. Paul was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 17 Jul 07 at 3:30 pm.
