On 15 Jul 07 Sgt. Stackpole and Deputy Sheriff
Norman responded to a possible domestic dispute at 124 Tennis
Center Drive Apt. 3B, Marietta. The victim, Connie Brown, age
30, 56 Albright Lane, Belpre, stated she was involved in a
minor altercation with her cousin’s boyfriend but refused
to write a statement and declined to pursue the matter further.
On 15 Jul 07 Scott Venham, age 19, 535 Moss
Run Road, Marietta, reported he was fishing in a friend’s
pond at 11390 State Route 26, Marietta, when his friend’s
sister, who lives at the residence, took his 1994 Mercury Cougar
without permission. The suspect, Virginia S. Moss, age 46,
later crashed the vehicle near the five mile marker on Bear
Run Road when she attempted to negotiate a turn at a high rate
of speed. After receiving treatment for her injuries Ms. Moss
was arrested for automobile theft and transported to the Washington
County Jail. Mr. Venham’s vehicle sustained disabling
damage and was towed from the scene. Ms. Moss is incarcerated
pending an appearance in court.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Karen Louise Brugger, age 54, 1612 Hill Street Apt. F, Belpre,
for OVI, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for
failure to signal, all misdemeanors. Brugger was arrested on
Hill Street in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 07 at 2:15
am.
Shawn Harold Miller, age 37, 124 Tennis Center Drive Apt.
3B, Marietta, for OVI, for driving under a twelve point suspended
license and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Miller was arrested on Front
Street in Marietta by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 07 at 3:30 am.
Dustin Ray Riley, age 22, 111 Montgomery Street Lot 16, Marietta,
for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Riley turned
himself in to Patrolman Gragan at the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
15 Jul 07 at 7:40 am.
Ronald Lee Cyrus Hornbeck, age 35, 1610 Hill Street Apt. G,
Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines, driving under an FRA suspended license and for
failure to obey the right of way, all misdemeanors. Hornbeck
was arrested at Devols Dam by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 15 Jul 07 at 9:25 pm.
Mary Rebecca Meadows, age 54, 411 O’Neal Street Apt.
A, Belpre, for contempt for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Meadows was arrested
in Belpre by Patrolman Kirby of the Belpre City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jul 07
at 10:05 pm.
