On 14 Jul 07 Sgt. Stackpole requested a summons
for Aaron Dennis, age 19, 3050 State Route 530, Lowell, for
theft. Earlier that morning the manager at Sponey’s IGA,
411 Fifth Street, Beverly, reported witnessing Mr. Dennis place
two packs of Camel cigarettes in his pocket and exiting the
store without paying for them.
On 14 Jul 07 Christopher L. Watson, age 19,
1350 State Route 821, Marietta, reported between 4 pm Friday
and 7:30 pm Saturday an unknown suspect(s) entered his home,
ransacked it and stole two gold wedding rings that belonged
to his mother. This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 14 Jul 07 Lt. Canavan issued a citation
to Jamie L. Bond, age 34, 129 N. Sixth Street Apt. 6, Plattsmouth,
NE, for traveling 67 mph in a 55 mph zone. Lt. Canavan stopped
Mr. Bond on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre Township. A field
interview with Steven L. Reed, age 41, 129 Sixth Street Apt.
10, Plattsmouth, who was a passenger in Mr. Bond’s vehicle,
revealed Mr. Reed smoked marijuana twice a day and was in possession
of a brass marijuana pipe. Therefore, Lt. Canavan arrested
Mr. Reed for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 14 Jul 07 an employee of the Lowell Duchess,
100 Main Street, Lowell, reported after a customer attempted
to pay for purchases with a check without sufficient funds,
the customer drove off without paying for $20 in gasoline.
This case remains under investigation (1184).
On 14 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested
Karen L. Lang, age 51, 1389 Watertown Road, Waterford, for
OVI and for driving left of center. Noticing Ms. Lang’s
truck traveling across the centerline on State Route 821, Deputy
Rhodes conducted a traffic stop and noticed an odor of alcohol
on Ms. Lang. Ms. Lang admitted she consumed alcohol and submitted
to field sobriety tests. Following her poor performance on
the tests Ms. Lang was transported to the Washington County
Jail Mr. Smith tested .082% BAC.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tony Leon Brookover, age 41, 121 ½ Gilman Avenue, Marietta,
for OVI and for having a defective exhaust, both misdemeanors.
Brookover was arrested on State Route 550 in Marietta by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 12:15 am.
Karen Lynn Lang, age 51, 1389 Watertown Road, Waterford, for
OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Lang
was arrested on State Route 821 in Whipple by Deputy Sheriff
Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 14
Jul 07 at 1:40 am.
Ronald Dean Myers II, age 26, 100 Grand Avenue, Marietta,
for two misdemeanor counts of violating the terms of his probation.
Myers was arrested on Lancaster Street in Marietta by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 1:50 am.
Steven Leroy Reed, age 41, 129 Sixth Street Apt. 10, Plattsmouth,
NE, for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Reed
was arrested on US 50 near Braun Road by Lt. Canavan of the
Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 4:04 am.
Justin Wayne Toblin, age 18, 616 Warren Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Toblin was arrested on
Third Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 2:04 pm.
Michael James Siders, age 27, 3150 Indian Run Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Siders
was arrested by Probation Officer Gault and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 9:15 pm.
Terrance Maurice Price, age 43, PO Box 96, Coolville, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Price was arrested near the Athens County line
by Deputy Sheriff Day and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 07 at 11:31 pm.
