On 12 Jul 07 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to James D. Hartwell, age 65, 647 Acapulca Way, Altamonte Springs,
FL, for making an improper lane change. Lt. Wilson stopped
Mr. Hartwell near milepost two on Interstate 77 after he nearly
struck his cruiser with his tractor trailer.
On 12 Jul 07 Bruce Smith, age 52, 19 High
Street, Vincent, reported his stepson Billy J. Davis, age 22,
arrived at their residence highly intoxicated around 1 am that
morning and became violent. Asked to leave and stay at a friend’s
due to his inebriety, Mr. Davis twice swung one of his crutches
at Mr. Smith and tackled him to the grass. Mr. Davis grabbed
his stepfather’s throat but Mr. Smith escaped shortly
thereafter. In consequence, Mr. Davis was arrested for domestic
violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 12 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Johnson requested
a summons for Roger Sowers, age 59, 205 Simpson Street, Marietta,
for allowing an animal to remain at large. A neighbor of Mr.
Sowers phoned to report Mr. Sowers’ bull escaped its
shabbily maintained pen. With the assistance of a Humane Officer
the bull was corralled and secured.
On 12 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Staats issued
a citation to Jonathan J. Kauth, age 22, 7208 Canaan Lane Apt.
102, Raleigh, NC, for traveling 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputy
Staats stopped Mr. Kauth on Interstate 77 near milepost fifteen
in Aurelius Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Billy Joe Davis, age 22, 19 High Street, Vincent, for domestic
violence, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested at his residence
by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 07
at 1:38 am.
Kristina Ruth Burns, age 27, 2412 Covert Street Apt. 20, Parkersburg,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Burns
was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 07 at 5:15 am.
Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 22, 122 Harmar
Street, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth was
arrested at Giant Eagle in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 07 at 5:31 pm.
Terry Lee Chidester Jr., age 29, 216 Pennsylvania Avenue,
Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Chidester was arrested
at Giant Eagle in Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 07 at 5:44 pm.
Britney Ann Perrera, age 21, 613 Eighth Street Apt. 1, Marietta,
for breach of recognizance and for theft, both misdemeanors.
Perrera was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Linscott
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 07 at 6:34 pm.
