On 11 Jul 07 an employee of American General
Finance, 20 Acme Street, Marietta, reported sometime during
the past month a home the business foreclosed on at 615 Mount
Tom Road, Marietta, was completely vandalized. The employee
stated the vandals removed doors from their hinges, damaged
the ceiling, removed the bathroom sink and toilet and punched
numerous holes in the drywall. This case remains under investigation
(945).
On 11 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Johnson requested
a summons for a Vincent resident to appear in Juvenile Court
for being unruly. The girl’s stepfather stated an argument
began in Parkersburg and continued throughout the car ride
to their home and ended in the home with the teenager kicking
a solid wood door until she broke it.
On 11 Jul 07 Stella Johnson, age 50, 10 Colonial
Square Apt. C, Belpre, reported she was cleaning the property
at 690 Goddard Road, Cutler, for which she is the executor
of the estate, when she discovered a 1997 Chevy Blazer hidden
in the woods. Using the VIN Sgt. Stackpole determined the vehicle
was stolen from Parkersburg and informed the proper law enforcement
authorities (953).
On 11 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested
Brewce W. Martin, age 41, 34961 Hutton Road, Rutland, OH, for
driving under a suspended license, possession of drugs and
for driving a vehicle without license plates. Noticing Mr.
Martin’s temporary tag was expired, Deputy Smeeks conducted
a traffic stop on US 50. As Mr. Martin readily admitted his
driver’s license was not valid, Deputy Smeeks conducted
an exterior canine search of the vehicle. After Deputy Smeeks’ canine
Dutch indicated the presence of drugs, Deputy Smeeks discovered
thirty-seven grams of marijuana hidden among trash in a McDonald’s
bag.
On 11 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio responded
to reports of what sounded like gunshots coming from behind
1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 1D, New Matamoras. One of the apartment’s
residents reported her boyfriend Jason E. Wince, age 28, was
intoxicated and behind the apartment with a gun. Speaking with
Mr. Wince, Deputy Travaglio saw no weapon but noticed strong
odors of both alcohol and marijuana. Mr. Wince denied having
a weapon but admitted smoking marijuana and that the marijuana
pipe Deputy Travaglio found was his. As a result, Deputy Travaglio
arrested Mr. Wince for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Simmons responded
to the scene of death of an eighty year old Marietta resident.
The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

Renee Ann Donahue, age 18, 26801 Lakeview
Drive Apt. 24, Parkersburg, for violating the terms of her
probation, underage consumption of alcohol and for falsification,
all misdemeanors. Donahue was arrested by Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11
Jul 07 at 1:55 am.
Lindsay Marie Alton, age 19, 2105 17th Avenue,
Parkersburg, for violating the terms of her probation and for
underage consumption of alcohol, both misdemeanors. Alton was
arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 9:31 am.
Jennifer Lee Grimes, age 33, 11264 Ohio River Road, West Columbia,
WV, for felony charges of safecracking and theft and a misdemeanor
charge of failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines. Grimes was picked up at the Lakin Correctional Facility
by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 11:50 am.
Paul Franklin Newbanks Jr., age 49, 7923 Veto Road, Belpre,
for violating the terms of his probation,, a misdemeanor. Newbanks
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Willson and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 12:43
pm.

Venson E. Moore III, age 30, 631 Seventh Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Moore was
arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 2:45 pm.
Theresa Marie Nester, age 31, 631 Seventh Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Nester
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 3:00
pm.
David Allen Sayres, age 42, 223 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Sayres
was arrested on the 800 block of Pike Street by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 8:59 pm.
Aaron Freeman Farnsworth, age 22, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth
was arrested on the 800 block of Pike Street by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 9:57 pm.
Dallas Willey Farnsworth, age 33, 122 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Farnsworth
was arrested on the 800 block of Pike Street by Patrolman McCracken
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 10:03 pm.
Marvin Ray Ruble, age 34, 836 Pike Street Apt. 23, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Ruble
was arrested by his probation officer and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07 at 10:45 pm.
Jason Earl Wince, age 28, 645 Rock Run Road, Pleasants County,
WV, for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia
and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors.
Wince was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 07
at 11:52 pm.
