On 10 Jul 07 the owner of Dave’s Auto Sales, 707 Virginia Street, Marietta, reported sometime since 10 am the previous morning an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the business through a window. Once inside the suspect(s) rummaged through the office desk, bypassed checks and money orders in a money bag and only stole an open pack of Marlboro Menthol Light cigarettes. This case remains under investigation (1183).

On 10 Jul 07 an employee of Settler’s Bank, 115 Third Street, Marietta, reported when the bank sent a representative to repossess a motorcycle, the bank discovered the lien holder sold the bike to another party without properly transferring the title. This case remains under investigation (945).

On 10 Jul 07 a seventeen year old New Matamoras resident reported his truck’s windshield was damaged while he worked his shift at Influent between 3 pm and 11:30 pm. This case remains under investigation (515, 1106).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Donald Scott Taylor, age 34, 208 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Taylor was arrested at the Seventh Street Speedway in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 07 at 12:20 am.

Chad Anthony Burdette, age 25, 107 Sharon Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of OVI with previous convictions and misdemeanor charges of failure to appear and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Burdette was picked up at the North Coast Correctional Treatment Facility by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Jul 07 at 2:05 pm.
