On 8 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a citation to Branden C. Wentz, 34, 109 Sagasser Street, Somerset, KY, for not stopping at a stop sign. Deputy Morris stopped Mr. Wentz when he failed to stop at the intersection of Greene Street and Front Street in Marietta.

On 8 Jul 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes arrested Corey J. Bock, age 19, 2303 Capital Circle, Parkersburg, for .02 breath underage OVI. Noticing Mr. Bock driving in a circle in the westbound lane of State Route 555, Deputy Rhodes stopped the vehicle near Stahl’s Nursery. When asked about his behavior Mr. Bock stated he was unfamiliar with the area and admitted consuming two beers earlier in the evening. Once he performed poorly on field sobriety tests, Mr. Bock was transported to the Washington County Jail where he tested .067% BAC.

On 8 Jul 07 Amber D. Bedell, age 30, 720 31st Street, Parkersburg, reported she was visiting her boyfriend’s home at 9829 State Route 555, Cutler, when she discovered a note from the father of her two children on her vehicle’s windshield. Ms. Bedell stated the note, from Elmer D. Harvey Jr., age 29, 3590 N. River Road, Zanesville, violates a protection order she has against him and that Mr. Harvey does not have permission to enter her boyfriend’s property. During this investigation Deputy Sheriff Mankins learned Mr. Harvey stayed at the residence of Richard L. Mayle Jr., age 33, 16957 State Route 555 Cutler, the previous night, took Mr. Mayle’s vehicle for several hours without permission and was driving under an FRA suspended license. Due to the facts learned, Deputy Mankins requested warrants for Mr. Harvey for violating the terms of a protection order, criminal trespassing, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving under suspension.

On 8 Jul 07 Teri L. McConaha, age 35, 875 Lang Farm Road, Marietta, reported she received a brief email from an individual against whom she has a protection order. Deputy Sheriff Mankins was unable to definitively link the email to the suspect and filed this complaint for future reference.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michelle Marie Slagle, age 35, 219 Virginia Street, Marietta, for OVI and for driving left of center, both misdemeanors. Slagle was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 1:20 am.

Christine Lyn McCrary, age 34, 2406 15th Avenue, Vienna, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. McCrary was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 4:00 am.

Corey Joseph Bock, age 19, 2303 Capital Circle, Parkersburg, for .02 breath underage OVI, a misdemeanor. Bock was arrested on US 50 by Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 4:05 am.

Bradley Wellington May, age 21, HC 61 Box 10, Moyers, WV, for OVI, speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. May was arrested on US 50 near Braun Road in Belpre by Patrolman Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 5:45 am.

Nathan Sean Tyson, age 20, 710 Front Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Tyson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 8:45 am.

James Allen Ward, age 30, 18B John Street, Jackson, OH, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Ward was picked up at the Noble County Jail by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 9:15 am.

Jamie Christopher Waters, age 35, 405 Main Street, Waterford, for contempt for failing to pay fines, a misdemeanor. Waters was arrested on Fifth Street in Beverly by Patrolman Hunter of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 6:50 pm.

Justin Lisle Moore, age 27, 3594 Hanover Drive, Kent, OH, for felonious assault. Moore was arrested near milepost nine on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 8 Jul 07 at 9:20 pm.
