On 27 Jun 07 April M. Schaad, age 40, 130
Luke Chute Road, Waterford, reported a female acquaintance
tackled, jumped on top of her and struck her several times
in the face. Ms. Schaad stated the assault occurred at Quimby’s
Bar in Beverly twenty minutes after she made a comment about
her assailant bringing her two juvenile sons to the bar. This
case remains under investigation (592).
On 27 Jun 07 the head of collections of the
Wal-Bon Corporation, the parent company of Napoli’s Pizza,
located at 925 Market Street, Parkersburg, reported a resident
in Belpre paid for deliveries on 17 and 20 Mar 07 with bad
checks totaling $48.40. The collections employee also stated
the business received a check from a Little Hocking resident
for $85.15 on 2 Mar 07 and that it was returned because it
was written on a closed account. These cases remain under investigation
(8411).
On 27 Jun 07 Kori E. Boyce-Whitacre, age 35,
404 Third Street, Beverly, reported she was sleeping when a
family member phoned around 2 am and stated he was going to
enter the home and take a cat and whatever else he wanted.
The family member later entered the home without permission
through an attic window and left without taking anything. This
case remains under investigation (232).
On 27 Jun 07 Lacey Lanning, age 20, 120 Harmar
Street, Marietta, reported between the middle of April and
middle of May an unknown suspect(s) entered her family’s
former residence at 615 Mount Tom Road. Ms. Lanning stated
walls inside the home were spray painted and a dishwasher,
television, a bed frame, a washer and refrigerator were stolen
from the home. In addition to the appliances Ms. Lanning reported
an old checkbook from her account at People’s Bank was
taken and later forged at Saint Mary’s bingo. This case
remains under investigation (792).
The following
individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Joshua Eric Burkhart, age 19, 210 Vine Street, Marietta, for
disorderly conduct by intoxication, criminal mischief and menacing,
all misdemeanors. Burkhart was arrested at his residence by
Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Jun 07 at 9:30
pm.
