On 24 Jun 07 Michael G. Lee, age 43, 635 Mitchell’s
Lane, Marietta, reported after an ATM transaction on 18 Jun
he noticed over $2,000 was missing from his account. Upon further
inspection, Mr. Lee noted an unauthorized person used his debit
card to make purchases at Jazeera Airway and YapOn, both of
which are outside the US. This case remains under investigation
(953).
On 24 Jun 07 Chris Connell, age 38, 541 Zanesville
Road, Beverly, reported a twelve foot aluminum john boat was
stolen from his yard sometime since 20 Jun. A neighbor later
informed Mr. Connell he found his boat in the Muskingum River
near the Beverly locks and returned it (953).
On 24 Jun 07 Rebecca Sparks, age 24, 836 Pike
Street Apt. 7, Marietta, reported her husband Shean, age 23,
punched her in the mouth during a disagreement in the parking
lot of Sierra Apartments. Mrs. Sparks retreated to her apartment,
where her husband followed and cornered her in their bedroom.
There Mr. Sparks brandished a small pocketknife and struck
her again in the face. Because Mr. Sparks was gone when deputies
arrived Deputy Sheriff Malone requested a warrant for him for
domestic violence. Sparks has been arrested and is currently
incarcerated in the Washington County Jail in lieu of bond.
On 24 Jun 07 Jack L. Mason, age 73, 942 Pine
Street, Belpre, reported sometime over the past week an unknown
suspect broke a window to enter his hunting cabin at 13026
State Route 555, Cutler and stole a crossbow and two dusk to
dawn lights. This case remains under investigation (515).
On 24 Jun 07 Tonya Simmons, age 39, 2353 26th
Place, Parkersburg, reported while she was away that afternoon
three suspects entered the home in which she is house-sitting
at 104 Alden Avenue, Marietta. No property is missing, however
the suspects cooked macaroni and cheese and used the home’s
hot tub while they were there. This case remains under investigation
(501).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Nathaniel Payton Kindler, age 20, PO Box 218, Waterford, for
OVI, a misdemeanor. Kindler was arrested on Angle Road in Waterford
by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Jun 07 at 12:10 am.
Shaun Allen Griffin, age 23, 403 Lord Street, Marietta, for
failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Griffin was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jun 07
at 1:25 am.
David Allen Sayres, age 42, Marietta, for disorderly conduct
by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Sayres was arrested in Marietta
by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jun 07
at 8:30 pm.
David Lee Farnham Jr., age 37, 8089 County Road 5, Addison,
NY, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Farnham was arrested near milepost eleven
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jun 07 at 9:45 pm.
Ricky Jim Gardner, age 38, 7617 Gardner Road, Bradford, NY,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Gardner was arrested near milepost eleven
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 24 Jun 07 at 9:45 pm.
