On 20 Jun 07 a sixty-four year old Fleming resident reported several times this past week, usually around 10 pm, an unknown person has phoned her residence and made sexual comments. This case remains under investigation (592).

On 20 May 07 Martin J. Roe, age 60, 2307 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell, reported while he was away from his home for six hours that afternoon an unknown suspect stole an Echo 18” chainsaw from outside his home. This case remains under investigation (1184).

On 20 Jun 07 Sgt. Underwood investigated a two vehicle collision involving a Chevy Cavalier driven by Beverly A. Carpenter, age 50, 8155 State Route 26, Marietta and a Dodge Intrepid driven by Christine E. Mugrage, age 38, 2800 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell. Ms. Mugrage pulled into a driveway at 3385 State Route 26 and was backing out to reverse directions when she struck Ms. Carpenter, who was traveling south on 26. While no one was injured during the crash, both vehicles sustained no-functional damage. For her actions, Ms. Mugrage was issued a citation for failure to yield from a private drive.

On 20 Jun 07 David Phelps, age 19, 1590 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, reported his Pioneer CD was stolen from his truck while parked at a friend’s residence at 1665 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta. This case remains under investigation (1090).

SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER

On 20 Jun 07 Sgt. Summers requested a warrant for the arrest of John E. Anderson, age 25, Marietta, for failing to register a change of address as a registered sex offender. During an investigation to verify Anderson’s address, Sgt. Summers encountered Anderson at his mother’s home on Greene Street in Marietta. Asked to be taken to his registered address of a tent two miles out Archers Fork Road, Anderson lied to Sgt. Summers then admitted changing his address and not registering. As a result, Anderson, who is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on a parole violation, was charged with the fifth degree felony charge of failing to register his new address.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Joe Haught, age 27, 164 Lake Road, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Haught was arrested at the park and ride in Belpre by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 07 at 3:15 am.

Herbert Leroy Nunn II, age 32, 845 County House Lane, Marietta, for violating the terms of his parole, a felony. Nunn was arrested at the courthouse by Probation Officer Gilchrist and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 07 at 2:20 pm.

Tammie Lynn Tamm, age 45, 787 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Tamm turned herself in to Lt. Canavan at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 07 at 5:40 pm.

Kelly Duane Beaver, age 49, 819 Ridge Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 07 at 10:35 pm.
