On 16 Jun 07 Lance Matheny, age 45, 3190 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, reported he was traveling on Lowell Loop Road when Robert J. Perry, age 37, 475 Anderson Road, Lowell, pulled in front of his vehicle and stopped abruptly. Forcing Mr. Matheny to stop his vehicle, Mr. Perry approached and repeatedly punched Mr. Matheny through the open window of his car. Mr. Perry fled but was arrested at his residence for assault and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 16 Jun 07 a member of the Marietta Shrine Club, 249 Pennsylvania Avenue, Marietta, reported sometime over the past week a CD player and speakers were stolen from the organization’s float. This case remains under investigation (953).

On 16 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks arrested William T. Brewer, age 22, 940 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Stopping Mr. Brewer for having a faulty license plate light, Deputy Smeeks’ canine indicated the presence of drugs in Mr. Brewer’s truck. A subsequent search yielded twenty-one grams of marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Also charged as a result of the stop was Shaun C. McCurdy, age 22, N1 Woodland Avenue, Beverly. Mr. McCurdy was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for consuming alcohol in a vehicle.

On 16 Jun 07, while arresting Andrew Huck, age 29, 2408 Robinson Hill Road, for an active warrant, Deputy Sheriff Staats discovered four balloons of heroin and one bag of cocaine in the bathroom of the residence. Deputy Staats observed Mr. Huck speaking to John F. Frazier, age 56, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 64, Marietta, in the presence of the drugs. Mr. Frazier denied the drugs were his, stating that Mr. Huck told him to take the drugs because he was going to jail. Mr. Huck and Mr. Frazier were arrested for two felony counts of possession of drugs and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

William Tyson Brewer, age 22, 940 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Brewer was arrested on Fifth Street in Beverly by Deputy Sheriff Smeeks and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 2:30 am.

Lucas Alan Heiss, age 27, 1007 Orchard Street Apt. 3, Marietta, for a felony charge of identity theft and a misdemeanor charge of forgery. Heiss was arrested on Washington Street in Marietta by Patrolman Hansen of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 7:51 am.

Robert Joseph Perry, age 37, 475 Anderson Road, Lowell, for assault, a misdemeanor. Perry was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 5:35 pm.

Andrew Alan Huck, age 29, 2408 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, for two felony charges of possession of drugs and for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear. Huck was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 11:00 pm.

John Fredrick Frazier, age 56, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 64, Marietta, for two felony charges of possession of drugs. Frazier was arrested at 2408 Robinson Hill Road by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 11:15 pm.

Troy Eugene Lightfritz, age 20, 833 Ridge Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Lightfritz was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jun 07 at 11:31 pm.
