On 11 Jun 07 Andrew Martin, age 22, 14960 State Route 550, Fleming, reported while he was away from his residence overnight, an unknown suspect(s) pried open the rear door to his home and stole .480 and .22 caliber handguns along with a twelve gauge shotgun from his bedroom. This case remains under investigation (515).

On 11 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Spencer responded to the scene of death of an eighty-six year old Lower Salem resident. The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

On 11 Jun 07 Rick Mendenhall, age 48, 525 Dana Run Road, Newport, reported after leaving the keys in his 1991 GMV Sonoma at 5 pm the previous evening he awoke to find the truck, with a set of cutting torches and tanks in the bed, missing. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 11 Jun 07 Rick Wright, age 48, 550 Archers Fork Road, New Matamoras, reported sometime since December of last year a Winchester 30-.30 rifle and a Marlin .22 caliber rifle were stolen from his gun cabinet. This case remains under investigation (500).

On 11 Jun 07 Edward T. Wasmer III, age 43, 105 Creston Lane, Marietta, reported the water filtration system in his home was removed without his authorization while he was at work on 6 Jun 07. This case remains under investigation (1203).

On 11 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Erin R. Wintz, age 25, 422 Third Street NW, Canton, for traveling 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Evans stopped Ms. Wintz near milepost thirteen on State Route 7 in Warren Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Heidi Sue Willey, age 25, 104 Coshocton Avenue, Cambridge, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Willey was picked up at the Guernsey County Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 07 at 3:47 pm.

Billy Allen Babcock, age 30, 165 Killwell Run Road, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Babcock was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 07 at 5:37 pm.

Andrew Brooks Beaver, age 25, 100 Westchester Drive, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Beaver was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 07 at 8:55 pm.

Timmy Leo Smith II, age 27, 54557 Number Nine Road, Reedsville, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Smith was arrested near milepost four on US 50 by Deputy Sheriff Staats and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jun 07 at 10:13 pm.
