On 2 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Morris issued a minor misdemeanor citation to Veronica A. Plaugher, age 43, 505 Charles Street Apt. A, Marietta, for disorderly conduct. Deputy Morris was investigating another incident at the Washington County Fairgrounds when Ms. Plaugher used derogatory language toward him within earshot of several children.

On 2 Jun 07 Sarah Summers, age 18, 1950 Ross Road, Little Hocking, reported her cubic zirconia engagement ring was stolen from her vehicle sometime between 4 and 5 May 07. This case remains under investigation (1001).

On 2 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Evans issued a citation to Jason W. Riggins, age 23, 1091 State Route 339, Belpre, for driving under a license suspended for unpaid citations. Deputy Evans stopped Mr. Riggins on State Route 339 in Belpre Township.

On 2 Jun 07 Jamie N. Ruger, age 25, 20481 State Route 821, Dexter City, reported her live-in boyfriend Brian P. Drake, age 27, assaulted her after she took the license plate of her vehicle to keep him from driving while intoxicated. Mr. Drake ripped the plate away from Ms. Ruger, cutting her hand and threw her against their trailer and onto the ground. Ms. Ruger called her grandmother Ruth Harriman, age 70, 39465 State Route 821, Caldwell, for help and when she arrived Mr. Drake was trying to push Ms. Ruger to the ground. Ms. Harriman attempted to intervene but was placed in fear for her safety when Mr. Drake threatened to cut her head off with the license plate. Citing that Ms. Ruger was also in fear for her safety, Deputy Sheriff Day arrested Mr. Drake for menacing and domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 2 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Day requested summonses for Michael L. Roux, age 35, 506 Pike Street Apt. 246, Marietta, and for David L. Lori, age 43, 10 Browns Road, Apt. 3D, Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Deputy Day’s affidavit alleges Mr. Roux pulled Mr. Lori out the front door of his residence and threw a beer can at Mr. Lori when he tried to retreat. In response Mr. Lori picked up a tomato stake and struck Mr. Roux in the arm.

On 2 Jun 07 Sandra M. Williams, age 25, 844 Maple Street, Parkersburg, reported her husband Chad, age 25, 521 Barclay Street, Belpre, came to the residence in Cutler where she was staying and instigated a confrontation. During the fracas Mr. Williams struck his wife in the face, threw her onto a bed and choked her. As she continued fighting, Mr. Williams let her go, punched her and threw her to the floor. Mr. Williams then left the residence. Confirming Mrs. Williams’ account with witnesses, Deputy Sheriff Evans requested a warrant for Mr. Williams for domestic violence.

On 2 Jun 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued a citation to Amanda D. Fultz, age 21, 1421 Lancaster Street Apt. 102F, Marietta, for driving without a license. Deputy Reynolds stopped Ms. Fultz on State Route 676 near Flintwood Street in Warren Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jarrod Michael Bauerbach, age 27, 211 Albright Road, Beverly, for possession of drugs, a felony. Bauerbach was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 3:45 am.

Charles Dale Martin II, age 20, 1311 Roselawn Avenue, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Martin was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Evans and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 4:40 am.

Thomas Eugene Scott Jr., age 27, 617 Fulton Street Apt. B, Wheeling, for a felony charge of illegal conveyance of items into a detention facility and for four misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs. Scott was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 6:00 pm.

Calvin James Martin, age 34, 11265 State Route 26, Marietta, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for driving a vehicle without license plates, both misdemeanors. Martin was arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 8:17 pm.

Michael Lee Roux, age 35, Marietta, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Roux was arrested at his at Marietta Memorial Hospital by Patrolman Hupp of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 8:47 pm.

Brian Patrick Drake, age 27, 20481 State Route 821, Dexter City, for menacing and for domestic violence, both misdemeanors. Drake was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Day and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 07 at 10:08 pm.
