On 28 May 07 Carol A. Wolfe, 2171 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, reported she moved her 2002 Dodge Neon to another spot on her driveway in order to access another vehicle. After exiting the Neon Ms. Wolfe stated the vehicle rolled down a hill, through a ditch and across the road. The vehicle sustained moderate damage; no injuries were reported (1299).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Paul Charlton, age 25, Route 1 Box 75, Rockport, WV, for driving under a suspended license, OVI, operating without a license, speeding and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Charlton was arrested on Braun Road in Belpre by Patrolman Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 07 at 12:25 am.

James Michael Belanus, age 29, 103 Jennifer Drive, Byesville, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license, speeding and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. Belanus was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 07 at 11:16 am.

Robert Jonathan Huffman, age 26, 797 Channel Lane, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Huffman was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Hively of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 07 at 3:33 pm.

Thaddeus Alan Heiss, age 44, 295 Offenberger Lane, Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Heiss was arrested in Waterford by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 May 07 at 4:00 pm.
