On 22 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks requested
a summons for Craig A. Parsons, age 47, 253 Orchard Drive,
Little Hocking, for disorderly conduct. Mr. Parsons was involved
in an incident with Patrick R. Slider, age 43, 625 Tower Road,
Little Hocking, at the intersection of Tower Road and Hillcrest
Road. During the confrontation Mr. Parsons accused Mr. Slider’s
son of placing a snuff can with derogatory comments in his
mailbox and grabbed Mr. Slider’s arm causing red marks.
On 22 May 07 Connie L. Huntsman, age 38, 687
Long Run Road, Newport, reported the back window of her son’s
Chevy truck was shattered during school hours at Frontier High
School that day. This case remains under investigation (1299).
On 22 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Rhodes issued
a citation to Timothy D. McMahon, age 37, 5400 Emerson Avenue,
Parkersburg, for traveling 74 mph in a 55 mph zone and for
driving under an OVI suspended license. Deputy Rhodes stopped
Mr. McMahon on State Route 7 near milepost thirteen in Belpre
Township.
On 22 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds issued
a citation to Tabitha D. Way, age 25, 631 Clark Ridge Road,
Sistersville, WV, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy
Reynolds stopped Ms. Way on State Route 7 near milepost twenty-seven
in Marietta Township.
On 22 May 07 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds responded
to a 911 hang up call at 145 Turkey Knob Road, Newport. Upon
her arrival, Deputy Reynolds noticed bruises all over the body
and face of Meredith Davis, age 28. Mrs. Davis went on to explain
the bruises were from an incident the past weekend but the
marks on her neck and face occurred that evening. Mrs. Davis
stated her husband Charles, age 32, was upset over personal
issues and choked her, pulled her hair, dragged her around
the house, ripping her shirt and struck her with a number of
household items. Leaving prior to the arrival of Deputies,
Mr. Davis was observed speeding in his vehicle past the neighboring
residence to which Mrs. Davis escaped. Mr. Davis fled into
the woods behind his residence and was coaxed out by Deputy
Smeeks’s canine Dutch. Arrested for domestic violence
and obstructing official business, Mr. Davis was then transported
to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Thomas William O’Curran, age 38, 416
Mulberry Street, Marietta, for OVI, failure to comply with
the order/signal of an officer, for disorderly conduct by intoxication
and for not wearing a seat belt, all misdemeanors. O’Curran
was arrested on Durwood Hoad Drive in Marietta by the Ohio
State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 22 May 07 at 10:45 am.
Andrew Guy Mayle, age 18, 809 Hocking Road, Belpre, for inducing
panic, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested at his residence by
Deputy Sheriff Rhodes and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 22 May 07 at 3:30 pm.
Donna Marie Neighbors, age 35, 208 Main Street, New Matamoras,
for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Neighbors was arrested
at Kardex on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Morris and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 22 May 07 at 9:50 pm.
Andy Joe Wogan, age 23, 4515 Wogan Road, Chesterhill, for
driving under an FRA suspended license, a misdemeanor. Wogan
was arrested near milepost twenty on State Route 60 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 22 May 07 at 10:55 pm.
Charles Brian Davis, age 32, 145 Turkey Knob Road, Newport,
for domestic violence, a felony. Davis was arrested at his
residence by Deputy Sheriff Reynolds and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 22 May 07 at 11:40 pm.
