On 21 May 07 Chloe R. Underwood, age 34, 1085 Lynch Church Road, Marietta, reported being assaulted when she attempted to intervene in a fight between two of her neighbors. Contradicting her neighbor’s story, Tiffany A. Bloss, age 27, 1115 Lynch Church Road, stated Ms. Underwood accosted and poked her in the chest then grabbed her arm. At that time the two tumbled to the ground and Ms. Underwood struck her head on a landscaping rock. Due to their conflicting statements Deputy Sheriff Simmons will request summonses for each party for disorderly conduct by fighting.

On 21 May 07 Anthony W. Smith, age 18, 4502 Ninth Avenue, Vienna, reported being assaulted after driving Matthew J. Sinclair, age 18, 915 31st Street, Parkersburg, a fifteen year old Parkersburg resident and possibly two other unknown males from Parkersburg to a farm in Little Hocking. Mr. Smith stated he was seated in a chair when he was blindsided with a punch to the face and fell backward onto the floor. On the floor the juvenile, who was under house arrest from a charge in Wood County, WV, removed the car keys from his pocket. Mr. Sinclair, the fifteen year old, the third and fourth suspect then fled, throwing Mr. Smith’s belongings out the window of Mr. Smith’s grey 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, maybe en route to Florida or Colorado. As a result of the incident Deputy Sheriff Spencer requested warrants for the arrest of Mr. Sinclair for assault, theft and robbery and for the juvenile for delinquency.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Alan Dow Hockenberry, age 33, 30825 State Route 7, Marietta, for contempt of a court order, a misdemeanor. Hockenberry was arrested at the courthouse by Captain Brum of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 10:25 am.

Justin Daniel Deems, age 27, 18155 State Route 550, Marietta, for conveying illegal items into a detention facility, a felony. Deems was picked up at the Noble Correctional Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 10:40 am.

Jason Eugene Wolfe, age 34, 101 Mulberry Street, Newport, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Wolfe was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 11:19 am.

Esther Kay Allen, age 46, 2407 Hanvey Avenue, Belpre, a fugitive from justice. Allen was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 3:41 pm.

Amanda Donn Wharton, age 26, 134 Mound Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Wharton was arrested on State Route 26 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 5:00 pm.

Thomas Scott Crockett, age 33, 404 Montgomery Street, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Crockett was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Walters of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 7:28 pm.

Jeremy Gale Davis, age 24, 416 Arnold Road, Lowell, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Davis was arrested on Second Street in Marietta by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 11:20 pm.

Daniel Edward Hendrickson, age 52, 801 Third Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of OVI and for misdemeanor charges of driving under a suspended license, driving outside the marked lanes of travel and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Hendrickson was arrested on Greene Street in Marietta by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 21 May 07 at 11:53 pm.
